Actually not a TPollard doubter.....but if he is what he is, why isn't KMoore playing him more? Love the genaralization.......you're funny.
The same reason the better QB won't continue to play.

It's all about how much you're making, bud.

Cole Beasley told ya'll the best players don't always play in Dallas. The most expensive ones do though.

Pollard and Zeke are 1a and 1b right now. I think it’s a good set up. Pollard wouldn’t benefit from twice the carries. He’s a 12-18 carry running back but he should be getting that many every game.

A 46 yard run will tend to increase the average. But they still count.
Pollard did have a few nice 10 yard runs as well.

Barkley had 81 yards, with a 36 yard TD run.

Zeke still had a 4.87 YPC with a 27 yard run.

Pollard got his 100 yards, as Moore had him in the game late in the 4th quarter trying to run out the clock. Not sure why Zeke was not in, saving his legs maybe. Or trying to take advantage of Pollard's quickness and speed to get 1st downs after Zeke wore them down.

However it was the right call, I had no issue with it. It showed Pollard having some decent runs between the tackles, and not always bouncing him to the outside.
Can give some DC thought as not to just game plan for Zeke up the middle and Pollard to the outside.

Cooper the better QB now? Wow! Cooper doing a very commendable job at the helm, but we're still and currently listed as 30th is scoring offense. Noah exceeding the expectations as a 5th year veteran.....repeat....5th year veteran. Noah is doing a very commendable job too.

As for the Cole Beasley statement:
Can't understand why pay is the issue when market value got TRomo his. See TRomo smile for the photo and not one trophy in the background has his DNA on it and the only ring on his finger would be a wedding band.
What's the problem? C'mon now.....say it.

That's always gonna be the case when a player has a long run. Little so see here. Just basic math

You're right. Those long runs are so insignificant.

No big deal at all.

Dallas backups playing better than the starters (Rush, Pollard, Ferguson, Hendershot). What’s new? I know Pollard is essentially a starter at this point but he is 2nd on the depth chart

No, they are important but having one giant value in a small sample makes the arithmetic average a poor estimate of his typical run

You're spot on. Thankfully that 47 yard reception against the Bengals didn't count as a run. He'd be averaging 7 yards a carry then on 29 carries, totally miscontruing his production.

Just get 5 yards every single carry, Tony. Big plays are unnecessary and over rated.

  • Removing the longest run for each player:
    • Pollard: 4.9 yards/carry on 12 attempts
    • Zeke: 3.3 yards/carry on 14 attempts
Pollard also a long run called back due to a penalty on Hendershot.
- Add that run/attempt and his average with the longest run removed was: 5.3 yards/carry

Take away that dumb double reverse against the Bucs where he lost 8 and its even more laughable. But this is nothing new for Pollard. He has consistently been one of the best back in the NFL according to metrics and avg. Zeke, not so much.

I am not going to take anything away from either RB. The offensive line is creating some nice running lanes for a change. We should be happy about that. That 46 yard run by Pollard was a thing of beauty. I don't think anyone touched him until he was 40 yards down field.
