A lot of us have posted for a long time about Daks lack of ability when it comes to 'reading' the defence and then the field. I don't actually think Rush is a great QB.. I think he is mediocre to poor if I'm honest.. but he can read the field and what a difference it makes.

Anyone questioning why our run game is working.. there is your answer. Being able to see the field and then select the right play to counter the D.

As I've said for years.. put a half decent QB on this team and we would have a ring.

Cooper an OC after being a Cowboys backup QB?

He'll probably pass way too much after abandoning the run, way too early.

It's become a tradition.
Maybe Dak should stop audibling out of so many run calls.

He needs to up his clapping game if he's to follow in JG''s footsteps.

Same for back stabbing skills.

Rush has been with the team for years. He has run the second team; been around first team practices; been in study sessions, etc. His opportunity to play shows that he can play the position; pays attention and can perform if necessary. Nothing more, nothing less.

No matter how this turns out, I think at very minimum we solved the dilemma of the backup QB long term, which feels pretty great. If it turns out to be more than that someday, even better.

Rush is UFA.

will cost $$$ to keep him.

Some of those "mean nothing" end of season games that Dak started while other teams would rest their starters for post season play is explained.

Someone did not want to see another QB leading our offense. It took an injury to show us what we all wanted to see. Was Dak holding back the potential of our offense.

We'll get to see the delta again when Dak comes back, which I'm sure Jerry will demand.

Should be interesting to see what is happening at the end of October.

A win-win would be that Dak learns from this experience and becomes a better QB and we also have a proven backup with Coop.

Definitely not in NFL starts or ability to EARN the job in Training Camp :muttley:

Guys are building up Cooper Rush for a humiliating Fall:angry:

Well after over 6 years of Dak we are used to a fall at QB but it's nice to see someone operating the system how it should be done.

Did you know when Cooper Rush went to college, he told his father “You’re the man of the house now”.

Cooper Rush once kicked a horse in the chin. Its descendants are now known as giraffes.

When Cooper Rush does a pushup, he’s pushing the Earth down.

Touche. I guess I just assumed he had no ambition to be a starter somewhere lol. If he beats the commanders and plays admirably against the Rams (I believe they’ll let sit Dak until at least Eagles), I hope the FO tries to lock him up long term.
