You stated it here almost as if in a father to son sit down disciplinary talk. And that's exactly what's needed.

Great job Hawk.

100% truth.

Lol… I guess I have the grey hair and grown kids now to justify a fatherly perspective

I just don’t want to cross over into “get off my lawn” “turn the music down” or “close the door you’re letting all the AC out of the house!!” territory lol

YOU literally just said that Dak will come back and "likely be scoring in the mid 30's on average."

I feel like I'm talking to my 6 year old nephew right now.

Dak, when right, is lightyears better than Cooper Rush.

But Dak is not right; hasn't been right for quite a while (excluding games against trash teams like the Eagles late last year).

I am more than man enough to admit when/if I'm wrong. But your creepy loyalty to Dak won't allow you to do it for some reason.

LOL........."LIKELY" was the term I used.

For me to be right, all Dak has to do is outperform the dismal 20 points per week Rush is averaging.

Is it Dak's fault that you don't understand how OLine play affects the run game and the passing game?

What the hell is wrong with Rush? He is playing marginal teams with a power run game and a shut down defense. And all he can do is score 20 points per game? Dak would be blowing out these teams like he was doing the first 8 games of last year. 7-1

Why can't he? Dak has. Look at last year 6-0 against a weak NFC East. 6-6 against the anyone else. We only beat two playoff teams and they both got destroyed in the wild card round by a combined score of 78-32.
Whoa "irishline"......you see Dak reputation, you see the "love" for Dak on the Board? Then Cooper will get the same, based on thus far......instead of the daily parade going for him on this board......so in your words......"Why can't he too?" He will not be called King of the Neighborhood for beating up "little brother", except from many.....and that's the comical part.

Cooper Rush beat a solid Vikings team last season, and has beaten a Super Bowl team from last year (who just beat an undefeated team last night), so I'm pretty sure he's already creating a reputation for himself
It keeps getting funnier......then we shall witness something during the Eagles and Rams......right? Some things can't be spoken into existence.......Cooper gonna have to show us.
I'm pulling for Cooper, but until I see it..........no worries of me overreacting and hoping and no need to see Dak placed out there. We got Cooper......right? And we shall see.

I do believe Dak has a higher ceiling, but Rush might have a slightly higher floor. He seems to take care of the ball better and not try to do to much. Sometimes that works.

I want to see Dak start, but only when he is healthy. If he starts before he is healthy, he's likely to not perform as well and will probably cost the team a game or two. That would be terribly unfortunate considering how Rush has done thus far.

Would be the wise FO move to leave Cooper in for now, despite being agenda driven or not.
Everyone knows that Dak will be back, just the upcoming schedule is where he wants to be reinserted.
Does that mean that he will not be medically cleared vs the Eagles, that three games from now.
Best move for Jerry is to roll with Coope until he sputters, it will happen, happens to every QB in the league, but it
would make for a much easier transition back in for Dak, we all know he will be back, so the upcoming schedule does make it interesting
and maybe a little bit predictable how they play their hand on this.
Commandos - Dak and this FO wish they could swap this game out with the Eagles game, they could let Dak further prepare.
Rams - Might still be medically too early.
Eagles - Returning vs the Eagles will be like Dak in his first game vs the Bucs, not an ideal reintroduction to the actual speed of the game currently.
.....definitely makes sense. Some on this board have Cooper (poor Cooper) as the second coming of "Joe Montana" now. That's the danger. Got no problem with Cooper handling this situation (staying clear of any bad interviews) and pulling for him. But some on this board sound downright desperate and delusional about our backup QB.

Cooper has been doing what is necessary to stay afloat, he is actually making breast strokes now, more than just floating and if he continues to succeed than what is not to like.
Winning is everything, bottom line, great stats can equal losses.

Especially the takes about how he could be the next Tom Brady.

Dak has peaked and he’s not going to all of a sudden improve dramatically 7 years into his NFL career. We all know what he is.

Rush processes and makes decisions quicker and has pocket awareness. He’s your typical pocket passer and that’s why the offense has looked more in sync. We’ll see against some better defenses how he’ll react.

So I just checked the gameday roster for Sunday - Cowboys hosting the ‘Commanders’ (seriously? … that’s the best Moniker they could come up with? How about the ‘Grifters’… or the ‘Insider Traders?’) Anyhoos…

The depth chart lists two QBs - Rush and Prescott.

So we’re saying if - very big IF - Rush gets knocked unconcho, that Dak will enter the game and pilot the offense for the remainder?

I may be wrong but THAT seems very poorly conceived.
Why, yes it does! That's our GM's mo.

Why would he not be happy, when they are winning.
He sees a running game starting to emerge. He sees the WR's start to make plays. The 2 young TE's look very good. OL is playing better, starting to gel.
So yeah, why would he not be happy.

id be happy to make 100 million to do nothing too

for supposedly being a Cowboys fan, you sure do sound miserable that we’re winning without Dak. You’re anti-Rush, yet you claim I am a hater. You’re delusional

they are a lot of them in here. Just wait on the first team loss with Rush at the helm.
You will be able to see their true colors. Coming shining through, true colors

In cases like this...follow the money. Did y'all forget, Jerry is not going to make himself look stupid. But as I always say, you can't hide stupidity. So in trying not to look stupid, he makes himself look stupid.

Stats....only stat that matters is one playoff win in his career and his ability to fold like wet cardboard in big games vs top teams.
I truly wish him luck but the vatto has a lot to prove at this point. Mainly that he’s gotten some confidence back and is no longer the happy feet herky jerky indecisive player he’s been of late
Stats and points matter when the poster says the QB was bad the past 7-8 games when it’s not true. What else would one look at? I seriously doubt that the QB lost confidence after game one, no matter how he played. The future will tell all, but when we play the physical teams that beat us in the trenches and our weaker wr corps can’t get open, it won’t matter who’s playing QB unless it’s Lamar Jackson.
