I know there has been much talk about Sean Payton to the Cowboys. I know many people don't see this as much different than McCarthy. I think McCarthy has the team heading in the right direction but the difference I see between them is the SP would improve the offense overall and be better at in game decisions and clock management. Thoughts?
Whateis MM. doing wrong that Payton wouldn’t

I'll let you know at the end of this season. If McCarthy gets us to the championship game, then he's earned another season. If not, we need to give the next guy a chance. For what it's worth, though, that next guy might be Quinn instead of Payton. While Quinn didn't win a Super Bowl, he did get his team there.

When asked about coaching again, SP said this earlier in the month:

“The most important element is functional ownership, front office…because there’s a handful of teams that aren’t, and those teams, regardless of what takes place, they can win on Sunday but they have trouble winning long term,” Sean Payton said. “The opportunity to win consistently and the willingness to build the correct culture and all those things.”

He's not coming back to work for Jerry.

I would like to believe he does possess a little more personal integrity and self respect so as to not sell out for a final retirement portfolio as I believe the current HC did.

Payton would work for Jerry in a Heartbeat, don’t kid yourself. Parcells worked for Jerry and talks Glowingly about the relationship. Jerry is a coaches dream.

I think Peyton brings an instant respectability to this franchise. It isn't just about coaching. When those officials go to throw a flag against the cowboys they better well be legit penalties and not BS. If you don't think the NFL officials are scared of bill bellicheck your crazy.

Peyton gives us a legit and respected coach. Thats the main difference in my opinion. He's not just a figurehead. When your the biggest team in the world you need that.

I think Sean Payton is one of the most overrated coaches of all time. Right up there with Nick Sabin.

The offense was great when we had the talent. We led the league last season in offense and points. There really isn’t any difference between McCarthy and Sean Payton. They both won the same number of Super Bowls and they both won them with Hall of Fame QBs. Head coaching changes have never made a difference for the Cowboys. Different head coach same results! Nothing will change until the Joneses change.

I'm leaning towards McCarthy for making the necessary adjustments to the offense in gamea 2 and 3.

Payton is not coming to the cowboys unless Jerry give him 10M or or more per year. Jerry is the worst nowner to work for. There is no reason for Payton to come here.

Neither? Why is neither not an option
Or better yet, if bilicheck would fail in Dallas with Jerry as the GM
