3rd round pick. Inactive 3 of the first 4 games.

Will McClay strikes again.

I agree that Tolbert was a reach in round 3.

However, our WR corps is pretty deep. The only thing keeping him inactive is his inability on special teams. He may still develop into a decent back up receiver. We’re probably losing Brown in the off-season so hopefully Tolbert is better next season.

Our WR Corp is pretty deep.

Well, I think I've read everything here now.

I’d be okay if Tolbert is not active for any more games this year. Let him sit and watch for a while.

Tolbert got action last week and had a catch. This is what happens when you draft players from small schools, they take time to develop. Especially WR’s.

Yes. Perfectly normal. Nothing to see here.

Same thing the did with Simi last season, but of course expectations are different.

Apparently Tolbert is not great on special teams.. which as the #3 receiver is not a big deal.. But with Gallup back he would be no higher than the #4.. and that allows guys like Fehoko who apparently ARE good on special teams to get the nod over him. It is what it is.. Not sure why people lose their minds over stuff like this.. The kid needs time to develop.. Meh..

Most teams carry 5 WR on the gameday roster. Turpin will never be inactive, unless he's injured. Brown has been playing well. Fehoko has taken advantage of his targets. Gallup is ready and Lamb is Lamb. So where does that leave Tolbert?

Tolbert was a bad 3rd round pick.

Hated that pick, never going to stop saying it

I’d rather the team sit the 3rd round pick and let him develop then rush him out when he doesn’t know the routes his job or quite frankly isn’t ready- that stunts growth and makes way for him to be buried on a depth chart forever.

It’s not ideal but it’s also not a career death sentence. His time will come but it’s better to be delayed than DOA

Literally, no one said it was a reach in the 3rd round.

We will see, but it is head-scratching how they are using him.
