Dang, I LOVE bacon wrapped jalapeno peppers! Might have to go down to the Wingbarn and get some.

Here is a twist on bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeño peppers. Maybe you already know about this.

I have not had these for years. But a good friend, she used to do this.
She cut the pepper length wise, removed the seeds, so they would not be as hot for some people.

Stuffed them with crunchy peanut butter...must be crunchy, as for some reason it keep it from melting....wrapped in bacon, and put on the grill, usually opened flame grill. Tooth pick to keep them together and the bacon on it obviously.
Just long enough for the bacon to be cooked. But not crispy of course.

The thing is, if you don't know it is stuffed with peanut butter. You will think, damn this is good, but what is that flavor...just need to be sure no one is allergic to peanut butter.
Then you tell them what it is, and they are very surprised.

Wow....never heard that one. I'll need to try it sometime. I tried the bacon wrapped onion rings that @viman96 told us about a couple of years ago....they were delicious. Maybe he can post a pic for those new to the menu thread

I made a batch of chili yesterday using leftover smoked brisket.
I know, I know... left over brisket? What is that?
I always save some of the flat for chili... about 1.5# smoked brisket added to 3# of ground chuck that I grill over charcoal makes a great start to chili.
jalapenos... habaneros... chipotles... poblanos... tomatoes... onions... spices (cumin/coriander/chili powder/salt)... a beer.
I forgot to buy chorizo, so that was unintentionally left out of the mix... unfortunate.
Still good chili, though!

My all time favorite Sunday meal....reminds me of my mom. She's the reason I started this thread. She would always make special meals on Sundays.
Mine too Raunchy. If only you didn't live so far! ♡
Eggs In Purgatory with chorizo, crusty French bread and mimosa’s.
What your address dear?! :muttley:

Since it's an early game I'll just snack around on chips and salsa. I want to go check out a new Mexican restaurant after the game and see how good they are.
I'll probably get chicken enchiladas with beans and rice and a Taco.
