Trade Dalton Schultz

I would trade Schultz to some team looking for a pass catching TE. Schultz doesn't block well enough to play TE in the NFL. I've never seen a TE than can't block as well as a slot WR, but I'd rather have CeeDee blocking than Schultz.

Now that the Cowboys have a few nice rookie options that can block much better and still provide an option in the passing game, I'd attempt to get a 3rd or 4th round pick for Schultz.

Only problem is....if he stinks for us...who would want him?

He's not bad, but he's not as good as some want to believe. We already have his replacement in Ferguson who is his clone as a receiver but a better/more consistent blocker.
I actually have no beef with Schultz, my beef is with the OC. They are treating Dalton like an all around TE when he's really only a pass catcher. The idea should be to draft a guy that doesn't tip off the defense its a run or pass. A 3 down TE should be the starter.

The only tradeable people on this team are as follows:

-Parsons
-Zach Martin
-Tony Pollard
-MAYBE Trevon Diggs

That is all. Rest of this team is fools gold at best.

Once Dak comes back, he will start targeting Shultz like crazy again for those underneath routes that he loves (and that defenses want him to take)

He may not know how to block, but he's got to be the best TE in the league when it comes to holding!

Why would a team trade for him when you want to get rid of him for a undrafted rookie and a 4th rounder? But you will get a 3rd rounder for a guy not under contract?

He is under contract for the rest of the year. It would probably take and injury to a top pass catching TE on a team with playoff aspirations. Kelce for example.

And you will get a 6th rounder for him.

Rubbish. I think we'd get 1st or 2nd rounders alone for Lamb, Steele, Tyler Smith, and then plenty of others would fetch fringe picks.

Agree completely, but I wouldn’t have even responded to that one if I were you. That type of comment was just waiting on a response and a fight.

Nobody is looking at Schulz outside of Dallas. We gave him a tag but he's far from a top tier TE. Might get a conditional 6th for him.
