Twitter: Snap counts vs Wash

Here are yesterday’s snap counts vs the Washington whatevers.
Some things that stand out to me:

The Cowboys only had 61 snaps to Wash’s 74. The Cowboys were obviously more efficient.
Good to see Gallup back. He had 39 snaps and caught a TD.
Micah Parsons had 63 of the defense’s 74 snaps. He seemed gassed at times.
Sam Williams had 17 snaps. He’s getting more each week.
Kelvin Joseph once again with zero snaps on D. Officially on bust watch.
Zeke had 39 snaps to Pollard’s 24.

What else stood out?

What stood out most to me is Schultz.

I really liked the way the other TEs played in his absents.

Then he comes back and is completely not existent while getting 90% of the snaps.

Disappointed in Joseph but I wi say he has turned into a stud in on ST. Hopefully he’ll come around as a corner and justify the pick.

Yeah I noticed Schultz was wearing a huge knee brace. He seemed very tentative for sure. Ferguson had 17 snaps and Hendershot 7. Those young guys are still going to see a lot of action this season.

Those two looked great last week but I’ve also read they both occasionally have lapses in execution as they are still learning the nuances of the playbook and the NFL game. Most rookie NFL TEs need a little time before they are completely handed the keys to the car.

D.Bland, S.Williams, C.Golston, J.Cox, D.Fowler, and J.Ferguson need more snaps.

The Cowboys maybe holding K.Joseph out this year, just so things can blow over. I'm sure he'll get his chances next year.

I don't like this LG rotation. Hopefully they can pick a starter and just roll with it.

The game wasn't broadcast in my area, but I did listen to the game.

It seemed as though Mukuamu's name was mentioned a lot on defense (along with Wilson, of course)

Gallup getting nearly 40 snaps is a surprise to be sure.

I don't think it can be stated enough how surprising it is he came back this quick AND looked good doing so. He had his ACL repaired in February. 7 Months to recover from that is insane.

Joseph did show on coverages. Even fair catches he seems to be hussling to make a play. Hopefully this guy figures it out.

he has been very disappointing....and a 2nd round pick for a stud on special teams makes me cringe

Surprised to see Gallimore was only in for 23 snaps. Had a nice game. Made the most of those snaps

Yes when you consider a player takes his biggest jump between year one and two. I dont think he was taken with the goal of being a special teams ace.

Hated the Joseph pick at the time and I still hate it.

Imagine spending a 2nd round pick on a core special teamer.

The Cowboys have 4 legit safeties on the roster.

It's quite weird.

I think if Brown or Diggs goes down with an injury we will see Joseph in the game. I think they have him as an outside corner, not a slot guy.

Shultz is a below average blocker when not hurt. I would like to see them use the backups more.

Shultz is going to regret not taking a big extension. His value will be pedestrian after this season.

Agreed the run game suffered with his return. I would trade him now while his value is high.
