He's not perfect, but he's far from being a detriment to the team.

Hes only a detriment if theres a better option sitting behind him. Im not sure there is. There muct be a valid reason why Cox isnt playing.Im going with the coaching staff feels LVE is better

The same why there were folks that were in denial about Jaylon Smith right until the bitter end, you're seeing the same fringe of remaining believers with LVE.
I don't remember any level headed poster thinking Jaylon wasn't horrible in the last two or three years.

I don't think anyone hear thinks LVE is great, just that he's not nearly as bad as the OP wants him to be...for whatever reason he might have. I doubt anyone would be against replacing him with someone better, but that clearly hasn't been easy to do, otherwise DQ would have done it.

Nick Martin had has way with wolf boy (as well as other blockers) Couple first quarter plays but after that nothing and a day late and a dollar short on most running plays. We will be destroyed by rams and philly on the ground game. Our stellar defense really covers for an incredibly ineffective LVE (and Barr to be honest). But we will be exposed the next two games unfortunately. Washington did expose us with the run on a number of plays. Offensive coordinators on good teams with run games will fully expose our weak link. That is why I suggested more safely play and Wilson and Bland really shined. I just don't see the point of LVE taking up a spot on the 11.
Yes when is Clarke playing?

He makes zero plays. He waits for someone else to get their nose in there

Im lukewarm on him. Cox muxt have some sort of defect the coaches see to have him out of the lineup. The sooner we get LVE replacement the better. That said I have seen him make plays just not as many as i see him late on

I see a lot of arguments that Cox must not be any good because the coaches are not playing him. I don't like arguments like that because it lacks foundation. They played Cox last year before he got hurt. The difference this year is they went out and got Anthony Barr, which is the reason Cox is not playing. From what I have seen of Barr so far, I think they should give Cox a chance. He is the future. Barr is the past. So is LVE for that matter because I think there is 0 chance they sign him again next year.

But one can understand why a guy like Barr, with his earned reputation, would play over a 2nd year player coming off a knee injury. Coaches will be hesitant to sit Anthony Barr to play Jabril Cox. I just think it wouldn't hurt to give him a few series to get some experience and see what he can do. We've seen Cox in preseason games and we saw him a little last year and the guy has playmaking ability.

5 tackles and 3 assists. 2nd leading tackler behind Wilson.

He's too big to be getting carried by rbs several yards. It seemed his rookie year if he got his hands on you there wasn't any/much forward progress.

I saw several times him make impact, and get pushed back 4 yards before the ball carrier fell.

It's not every play, but imo it shouldn't happen as much as it did yesterday.

My opinion is that he’s protecting himself and his neck at this point. And while I understand it from a personal health perspective, it’s also detrimental for a position as physical as linebacker.

Trouble is, I think he’s our best option for the position right now, until Clark is healthy enough to hit the field.

YOU ASKED WHY. I tried to tell you why you get so much pushback. You asked why and when you got a response that was honest, you respond like a petulant child. I tricked myself into thinking I was talking to an adult who might consider the response to his question with a little thought.

Obviously, you're not willing and/or able to have an actual discussion. You just want to hear yourself screaming into an echo chamber.
This is an obvious forum rules violation and has been reported. You should be benched.

He needs breaks too. I'm going by the PFF grades. There is a big disparity between LVE's run and pass defense grades. He can cover a TE and he prefers too b/c he is out there avoiding contact with OL and taking the long way to ball carriers to avoid contact.
Then why not breaks on first and second downs if he is the pass defender you claim? This makes no sense.

Yep, LVE saved a TD, catching the runner from behind, from the other side of the field...but he's "slow and lumbering".
Watch the game. Many on here see him as slow and lumbering. Are they making things up for giggles? No. It is because it is true. Because he tackle someone twenty yards downfield after the first down marker is ipso facto slow and lumbering. Rather than for a loss or a stop or a 2 yard gain. Watch the game and focus only on him and you will see what many of us see. He really is that bad.

He makes some plays but some plays hes painful to watch
Exactly and the ones he is in on he is in on at the back of the pack. Why people are defending the non defendable is curious. But there were hue Jaylon supports to the end on here.
