I definitely like both.

I was one of the most angry about the QB2 position because Rush looked terrible in preseason, which just goes to show how meaningless preseason can be.

I've never been happier to be more wrong. Rush's best talent is his ability to stay even-keeled, which every QB needs.

I like Dak. I have suspicions that may change soon.

I like Rush. I have suspicions that may change soon.

There is a more than zero chance neither will lead this team to anything in the post season. But I don't know that as fact just yet.

The next championship QB for the Dallas Cowboys may not be in the league at this time.

Or college either.

This is exactly what I have been saying all along. Whoever is quarterbacking the Cowboys is my choice, because if he does well it means the Cowboys do well.

Why pick a side when we are all Cowboys fans? I have always been a Dak fan and I am also very excited and happy about what Cooper Rush is doing. Liking a player doesn't mean you hate the others at the same position.

Well that's good if you take Daks entire body of work. Problem is Dak is going to see the same defensive schemes as hes seen the last 2 games until he defeats it. In which I don't believe hes capable of doing. so I'm sorry to say you may have seen the best of Dak a few years ago.
Of course he looked great against wash and philly last year as theyw were fielding teams a good college team would have beaten.(I'm serious)
So either they change our offense to a 2016 style system that will buy Dak time and separation, or they keep him I'm the pocket and he's out of the league or at least not starting past a few games.
MM and KM have some adjustments to make.

Rush:
How many backup QBs get 5 years on the same team and in the same system? Rush is living proof that hard work and continuity pays off.

I love his command of the offense and his willingness to throw deep if the matchup dictates it.

He’s fairly risk-averse and accurate enough.

He’s taken 2 total sacks in his 3 starts, and has ZERO TURNOVERS this season (to be fair, he might’ve gotten a tad lucky that his 2 INTs today were called back).

He plays the game as if it’s easy, or at least he’s making it look that way.

Don’t turn it over, don’t take sacks, take what the defense gives you, throw deep when it’s single coverage. Simple.

It helps having a defense and run game and when the penalties actually go our way for a change, but Rush is getting it done.

We have TWO QBs I believe in right now, and if we beat the Rams and Rush impresses again... Dak’s officially on notice. Play well or step aside!

I love the cowboys. won't pick sides. but I hate jerry. I have lost hope that we will ever win anything under Jerry's management.

QBs have come and gone. HOF players have come and gone and we are in the bottom 3 in post season performance over the past 25+ years..... Dak, Rush, Romo, Bledsoe, Ware, Martin, Smith, Dez, Witten, etc....nothing will change. Dallas is where great players come to die out in their career.

Second, Dak has been declared elite so many times on this forum, you probably can’t count. All the Dak-stans just back-peddling ever since, just like they are doing here by giving Rush this type of credit, when telling us before this franchise collapsed with the mediocre QB that is Dak. In fact, in this thread you’ve got plenty of folks that used to ride his jock and even they bailed.
