Yup, i defend Jerry.

I killed Ceedee for the drop too.

Ceedee has made up for it since that egregious drop vs the Giants...cooper had 1 catch for 9 yards last game.
well at least you finally admitted your obsession with Jerry.

Dallas Offense last year 407 yards per game - this year 312 yards per game

Points per game 2021-31.18 compared to 2022 17.75

Common opponents between 2021-2022 yards per game :

Wash 410 vs 279
Giants 421vs 391
Tampa 451 vs 244

Common Opponents pts per game

Tampa 29 vs 3
Wash 38.5 vs 25
NYG 32.5 vs 23

There you have the only thing that you can compare to show the difference Amari made on this team so far!
well you cant compare to last year, dallas and the teams they are playing have all changed.
I am sure if dal still had amari, stats would be higher, but how much is just a guess.

I thought this thread would keep us updated on what amari did each week !!!!!!!!
and compare that to lamb, but guess not.

Sorry, just not into mindlessly repeating what everyone else is saying just because.

Jerry was the reason we were the team of the 90s, so i don't take that lightly.

That comparison has no bearing on the merits of keeping one or not keeping him. The teams stats that I showed do.

The other comp is just to try to prove Jerrys decision right and it is a gradeschool comp!

Yep he bought the Cowboys and hired Jimmy. That about covers his accomplishments for the 90's Cowboys!

Simp take on a complex topic.

Hershel trade doesn't happen without Jerry. That is just one of many things Jerry did.

You can't post these stats and say the difference is solely because Amari isn't here. Way too simplistic.

With the improved defense, the offense has been able to stay with the run longer. And playcalling has been adjusted to suit Rush's game.

There is a lot going on when comparing year to year. Not just one guy

Well it is 10 x better than posting stats of a player on another team.

The true test of how much we miss Coop will come when Dak starts playing.

well I wasnt referring to Jerry's decision, which we all know was bogus.
you cant compare playing last years giants, with last years dallas team, it just wont be accurate. both teams are different now.
Some have said last year dallas blew them out with dak, but that too isnt accurate. each year is different.

That's the best you have though. Comparing Lamb or Noah to Cooper is just a worthless comp to try to prove whether we needed him or not. Last year vs this year is the only viable comp you have whether they are equal or not. Comparing stats versus the same teams narrows that comp.

probably the best way would be just to look at what amari does for cleveland this season, then look at lamb and what he does for dallas this season. individual stats can be quite meaningless.

I havent watched a single cleveland game yet, so cant say if amari is helping them or in what way.
I know he had 1 big game thats it.

still NO they had deadline to not owe him more guaranteed bonus money and not one team offered better draft capital AND take all his salry.,it was the right move. stick to fandom not GM and Pro football business., if they held onto AC longer for better draft capital, they would eat more dead money, they did this for good reason.

Oh ok, sorry I didn't know you were a GM. it's amazing though how they seem to be backed into a corner a lot in these type of deals but I'm sure I'm missing something. Thank god we have you on the board so you can tell me. Cowboys do everything right apparently. They give up a 1st round pick because of desperation and then are in desperation mode to get rid of him and get a 5th. But what do I know, maybe we should all stick to fandom and come on here to never question an organization that hasn't done much of anything in almost 3 decades. Thank you for your wisdom.

Because he hired the right coach and got out of the way. When has he done that since? I for one am not going to defend someone now because of something they did thirty years ago and since changed and messed things up.

You mean Jerry could have vetoed it but let Jimmy do his thing. Give Jerry credit for staying out of the way I guess. Too bad he didn't look back at those days and learn something.

Jerry paid Hershell to accept the deal to Minny bc he didn't want to go. He had a no trade.

He paid him a million which was unheard of at that time.

Jerry bought Deion in at the highest salary anyone had seen at that time.

There is a million other things. To say all he did was bring in Jimmy (which is amazing in its own right) is not accurate.

Again, that was in the distant past and he's done things since that put his ego and profits above championships multiple times. Why defend that?

I was being challenged that he did little for the 90s Cowboys.

He definitely helped destroy that team with his ego and certainly made a lot of mistakes since then. I just think they are running a great organization now that is trying to build this thing the right way.

They just haven't gotten over the hump yet.

I can respect that. I just think part of that hump is Jerry's meddling and undermining coaches.

those were facts

i was there reading the articles that week, not guessing it was why they did it..they dont need to explain it to you but maybe you need a mansplaining here..

you must be an owner and GM huh nope

the jones didnt become multi-billionaires buy making bad deals, they did This because at the moment given the situation it was in fact the best deal..Once again Browns haoiv a season that is nearly catch for catch the same production as your Buys 20mil season..hmm right we do not miss him, the entire point is IDC hes gone, never was true Cowboy and i for sure also do not miss him..Lamb and Brown Gallup all homegrown talent true Cowboys will cheer them like family.

now go grab your Browns jersey and cheer on your man crush..hes on his third team better get room in your closet for 4th team soon..
