Who’s the Starting LG Moving Forward?

I think we all expected it to be Peters coming off how he looked in his 16 or so snaps against NY, but when the game kicked off McGovern started.

Then after a drive or two of him getting handled, we put Peters in and rotated them I believe. OL isn’t a place to play musical chairs, you have to let your 5 gel. Was it Peters still ramping up or do they want McGovern to start?

Is it me or does Peters look every bit of 40. I mean I think we all want an upgrade on McGovern and Peters can be it in spot duty but he’s not going to be playing 80% of snaps
And he was getting pushed around a bit as well yesterday when was in there
We really need McGovern to get better and Pull his head out
Or we can put the rookie there but then LT becomes a liability

I think Peters needs to be your guy. Tbh I think even Farniok is better than McGovern. However I still think our 2023 LG isnt on the roster

Peters isn't in condition to play a full game yet - he played 31% of the snaps yesterday. Whether he gets there remains to be seen, but he is 40 years old now.

I would love for the Cowboys to use some of this money they have saved up from Gregory, Cooper and Collins and sign a Pro-bowl LG free agent next year. Assuming that one is a available.

I don't think that any of the options are good. Peters cannot move laterally and is not in shape. McGovern gets overextended and misses far too often with his punch. Farniok is the best foot athlete of these three, but has issues with power. The next two weeks won't shape up too well either with Donald followed by Cox/Hargrave. No perfect solution here.

I think we can get a starting guard in the 2nd round or later (ideally).
