Minus his first season due to Covid 19, he’s done an excellent job.

keep in mind how many passes Garrett got when Romo would get hurt. McCarthy, Quinn, and Moore have done some of their best work this month. I never feel we are not prepared for battle and they have cleaned up some of the issues from last year

I agree that the coaching staff as a whole deserve massive credit for keeping the season alive after losing the starting QB and a couple of other seemingly important players. As to which coach or coaches have had that impact is impossible for us spectators to really know.

I see the credit going to Quinn- you can see why with the way he has the defense working as a group as well as proving u dont need 11 all-pros.
just dont see what if anything MM has done

I agree MM is more involved this year. Since his too aggressive comment regarding Moores play calling , we have seen a much more balanced offense. He is being effective...

He deserve credit also for not clapping when the opponent scores. That itself is a huge upgrade.

Also can we give the whole "time management" schtick a rest? Look at the blogging the boys thread from this week, every single fan base complains about time management. Ron Rivera is a seasoned head coach and they were ripping him for poor time management. Can we agree that there is never going to be a coach who is going to be perfect in this area and it is simply a situation where if the call is good you look like a genius but if it goes poorly you look like a donkey?

I just don't see how any reasonable person can say that McCarthy does not deserve the credit as the head coach. Yes, Quinn has the defense playing at a high level, but if you don't think that McCarthy is more involved in the offense than he has been, then I would say that you're not thinking logically. I guarantee you had we lost all 4 games, McCarthy would be getting all of the blame. Just my two cents: McCarthy is a good coach!!!!

He is 3-0 with a backup QB, he deserves credit for that. If he were 1-3 there would be Sean Payton threads all over the front page.

That alone should get him coach of the year.

He is the head coach of a team that completely righted the ship in spite of losing his "franchise QB". He deserves much praise. Weaker teams would fold.
Somebody needs to explain to me why McCarthy is seen holding a computer on the sidelines if he is not involved. Please do.

I don't know what to say about the guy. After Tampa he said "no" I won't be taking over the offense. The reason, he said he didn't know the offense. So after three years he doesn't know our offense?

After that I wondered what exactly he does here in Dallas?

I dont know what work he has done with KM, but it does seem his influence is helping.

Long way to go this year but for whatever reason Mike McCarthy has gotten the incompetent boob label put on him despite success that mirrors the heavily coveted Sean Payton.

Nothing would please me more than to see his fat fist hoist another Lombardi in their arrogant faces.

100%. How people think Payton is somehow a massive upgrade over McCarthy is beyond me. McCarthy has been a good coach for a long time. I think he is solidly tier 2. He's not TheBestIntheLeague, but he's way better than Garrett was and is totally competent coach.

These are MY OPINION

Tier 1 - Belichick, Andy Reid, Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh
Tier 2 - Mike McCarthy, Sean Payton*, Kyle Shanahan, Pete Carrol, Doug Peterson
