It doesn't matter. When Dak is healthy he is going to be the starting QB. When you bench a 40 million dollar QB in this situation it means his career is over in Dallas. The Cowboys have not given up on Dak Prescott nor should they. In fact, there isn't a team in the NFL that would bench Dak in this same situation. It's not a Jerry Jones thing.

Cooper Rush has been really good. He has done better than anyone expected and there are aspects of his game that look better than Daks. But the only way Cooper Rush gets the starting job is when he takes it. That's when he plays so well and is so integral to the teams wins that you can't imagine taking that advantage away from your team on Sunday.

That's the only way he replaces a 40 million dollar Dak Prescott and as good as he has been he has not been that. He has helped the team win but he is not WHY we are winning. If you had to pick a reason we are winning it is defense.

Jerry will confuse the Rams so much that they will wind up preparing for Will Grier.

On the other hand, he will confuse our team so much we will probably land in St. Louis for the game.

3 SB Trophies from over 25 years ago with teams built largely by a coach that he ran out of town because he didnt like sharing the limelight.

Since Jerry has taken over operations entirely, the team has gone on a two decade plus run where they have won 3 playoff games TOTAL under his sole stewardship. That's one playoff run for like every 7 seasons. LOL. Awesome job.

But yeah. Qualified.

He was solely responsible for those 3 SB wins in the 90’s.Jerry built , made all the personnel decisions, and coached those teams.Ohhh wait, that would be Jimmy Johnson.Then you dump said coach because your ego is soooo big and was upset because he didn’t get enough of the credit.How’s Jerry done since Jimmy left?

I really don't care what Jerry says , He's just hyping the game.
What really matters is when DAk is able to put in a full week of practice and the consensus is that he is able to make all the throws and is back to 100%.

At that point he has a better than average chance of being able to compete in an NFL game.
If Jerry were to force him back early before he can grip the ball and throw accurately he would be opening Pandora's box setting him up for failure which is not in anyone's best interest

So they could've placed Dak on IR since he missed 4 games anyway. Now they're gonna have to cut someone to sign Grier to the active roster since he's out of practice squad elevations. Wonder how serious Jourdan Lewis' injury is, maybe he can go to IR to open up a spot. Lost Ridgeway, may lose another player to a claim if they have to end up cutting someone (Farniok? Gifford? Ball?).

I was hoping that he would be healthy this week so he could get the Rams game under his belt before a big divisional game up in Philly.

I don't like Dak's first game back after more than a month off to be a road game in a tough environment. That's not the place to shake off the rust. He needs to be sharp right from the start.

I do wonder, however, if he really is having trouble gripping the ball now, how ready he really will be next week. I dont need him at 80% against Philly. He needs to be 100%.

They shouldn't even think about it until after Philly. Nothing to gain before then at all, especially for Dak.
