Noah Brown is Juju Smith Schuester with deep speed.

He’s also a handful to bring down once he has the ball. Dude is a beast.

Hopefully Dak can get him the ball like Rush can. I just remember the Raiders game last year and the Bucs game this year and if Dak doesn’t have giant windows to throw in he may not release the ball to a guy like Brown.

Not an apples to apples comparison because of the type of coverages they receive and attention they get as wide receivers. But, I am glad that Noah Brown is taking advantage of the opportunities he gets. He seems to be able to win one on one and find open spaces in zone coverage.

As someone else stated, I believe Catch, I hope this continues once Prescott returns. Prescott is not one to throw into tight windows or make risky throws. So Brown will need to get open faster and by a bigger margin until there is a comfort level between the players.

It remains to be seen if MG still has that top end speed after the injury but Brown can really stretch a defense too. There is no reason in the world why these three WRs can't be as productive as any unit in the league IF and I emphasize IF the QB can accurately get them the ball and read defenses well enough to find the open receiver. That's a big if with Dak because he was regressing before the gimp thumb.

And Amari is supposed to be a #1 WR. J/K, he is doing well so far with a QB that was pretty much a career backup.
So both have that in common for now. Though Noah had a 1st decent game with Dak also.

I liked Amari and I liked the trade. But his last 1 - 1/2 seasons here, I was not as high on him as when he 1st came here.
I still think it was the correct decision, for they long run and salary cap.

I knew Brown could be good, and I am not surprised at his production.
Now with Gallup back, Brown may not get as many targets. So this gap could widen between the 2 from this point on.

Really, you was doing well, until crapping on Dak. How about waiting to see how he does when he returns for a few games.
I know you said IF. But still Dak has shown what he is capable of.

I wouldn't call that crapping on Dak just pointing out the obvious. Maybe he comes back from the thumb in 2016 form, I hope he does.

Noah Brown is 18 of 27 for 274 yards with a long of 45 yards and 1 TDs.

Amari Cooper is 20 of 31 for 228 yards with a long of 32 yards and 2 TDs.

Factor in the fact that we save $20 million for other players.

And that's a winning move.

Not to mention, the best WR on the team is back, Michael Gallup.

Brown may of improved the run game too. He is a heck of a blocker and some of these runs that go to his side he is always locked on to someone blocking for Pollard and Zeke.

It was a move for the future, and I suspect McClay had more to do with it than anyone else.

I have to wonder how we would have fared against the 9ers if we had played Noah Brown more that game, and schemed around him.Or if we had a guy like Hendershot.. etc.

I see this offense picking up some steam, and upping their game quite a bit. Lots to work on out there, but I admire the way McCarthy has handled it.

This is both amusing and pathetic.
Find me one real NFL coach or football person that would choose Brown over Cooper.
Jerry and company do not qualify.

Not to nitpick and not that it matters, but is that for sure outperforming? I'd call it about even, which is of course still great for us
cooper 20 228 2
brown 18 274 1

I like Noah and think he is doing an outstanding job however I would also say Cooper is facing #1 CB vs other teams as well as double teams while Brown isn't. For me all I care about is Brown running his routs and making plays when they come his way. but not willing to compare his ability to that of Cooper or any top #1 WR

It's about production. At the end of the year, he'll be about on par with Amari.

That, and we have Michael Gallup, and there's only one ball to go around.

Micheal Gallup and Noah Brown are better than Amari Cooper, and like I said, there's only one ball to go around, so we had too many resources tied up at WR, in my opinion, and Amari was an 80 percent effort guy on a lot of plays.

We're better off without Amari's "me" toxicity.

Sure, I'm completely aware of that. But I will say that our offense has the potential to be as potent as it was with Cooper with the squad we have this year, in due time.

Noah has more heart and is much more dependable than Cooper. Brown also plays big in AWAY games, unlike Amari "Copperfield" Cooper.
