I don’t know about this When amari was hear we had a situation where the QB couldn’t get him the ball regularly and now in cleveland my man is out there facing coverages the likes of which the league has never seen I wish one day amari would catch a brake

Sure, I'm completely aware of that. But I will say that our offense has the potential to be as potent as it was with Cooper with the squad we have this year, in due time.

To me it is all about team, not individuals. This group is meshing they go out and do their job and complement each other. No doubt we have some individuals with outstanding talent but this team is forming good chemistry with each other.

So Amari couldn't catch a break in different systems with three teams????

Maybe its the teams who had to catch a break because Amari was the problem..... its hard to get a receiver the ball when he disappears.

Noah Brown is 18 of 27 for 274 yards with a long of 45 yards and 1 TDs.

Amari Cooper is 20 of 31 for 228 yards with a long of 32 yards and 2 TDs.

Factor in the fact that we save $20 million for other players.

And that's a winning move.

Not to mention, the best WR on the team is back, Michael Gallup.

Agreed. But werent you the guy every week saying how dumb it was to get rid of Cooper and that we screwed up by not going out and signing some great veteran WR?

Not an apples to apples comparison because of the type of coverages they receive and attention they get as wide receivers. But, I am glad that Noah Brown is taking advantage of the opportunities he gets. He seems to be able to win one on one and find open spaces in zone coverage.

As someone else stated, I believe Catch, I hope this continues once Prescott returns. Prescott is not one to throw into tight windows or make risky throws. So Brown will need to get open faster and by a bigger margin until there is a comfort level between the players.

LOL.........here we go again.

The vaunted Amari Cooper always has some kind of excuse why he underperforms other WR's. He is always getting triple coverage or unfair treatment.

Omg another one….
Seriously think we are a better offense without Amari? That is brain dead thinking. The comparison is not Amari vs x on our roster the comparison is Amari PLUS what we have now. Obviously, SOMEONE has to catch passes and get numbers for us, that’s inevitable. Troy Hambrick once got yards running the ball after Emmitt too.
I could entertain the debate IF we would’ve went out and actually spent some of that 20m but we didn’t. We sat on it. So we could’ve just as easily kept Amari one more season and if we wanted that 20m back, ditched him NEXT offseason. So since we didn’t even use the money, are we better off without a top 10 WR vs having one? The answer can only be no. Jerry saved 20m and reduced our talent so not sure why we are still debating this. It was a bad move period made worse by Jerry’s horrible ability to negotiate trades….anyone else would’ve gotten at least a third.

Brown also plays special teams very well and in the 12 personal package does an outstanding job of blocking the edges. He stepped up.

Dak has lead the NFL in tight window throws previously. More troll lies and myths.

Really, you was doing well, until crapping on Dak. How about waiting to see how he does when he returns for a few games.
I know you said IF. But still Dak has shown what he is capable of.
The "can't read a defense well" talking point has really taken off.

Dak was ruined by Garret coaching. I have no doubts. Kellen Moore too. They need to wash their minds of everything Garret spoke.
That's just a stupid comment. Dak and even Romo exceeded any expectation and became decent QBs as low round or even undrafted players. Name another team that has had that kind of success with QBs that weren't top draft picks.

Brown has made Amari expendable. I’m interested to see if Brown continues to get as many targets with Gallup back.

Not about being better. We would be better with Randy Moss too.

Its about managing the roster. Cooper was overpaid, wasnt worth the money and we have plenty of other capable pass catchers.

Were 3-1 with our backup QB. Dont need Cooper.

It’s because he’s too slow in his progressions. He can obviously read a defense, just not quickly or consistently enough. Why he holds the ball so long.

Let this be lesson to all of you in two major categories that have been epic failures for the front office over the years:

1. Effective use of salary cap dollars and net positive player contracts.
2. The foolishness involved in using high draft picks and premium dollar contracts on the wider receiver position.

I expect him to get more now. Gallup really helps open things up.

Especially the way he came out against the WFTs.

It remains to be seen if MG still has that top end speed after the injury but Brown can really stretch a defense too. There is no reason in the world why these three WRs can't be as productive as any unit in the league IF and I emphasize IF the QB can accurately get them the ball and read defenses well enough to find the open receiver. That's a big if with Dak because he was regressing before the gimp thumb.
'
Dak just came off one of the best years of his career
How was he regressing?
