Chances are that if he played those games in 2020, he would have far more games with 3 TD’s or more. More so than any games with 3 picks.
And you know that is the truth.

And I am not building him up at all. I was just stating FACTS.

You should know better than to use the word "if", right?

It'll be the same Dak. Great against the scrub defenses, and awful against the good ones.

Much like Jalen Hurts, who is getting all this love despite being just an awful NFL passing quarterback.

It's the games against good defenses that define quarterbacks.

Say what you want about Dak in a vacuum, but the fact that you equate him to Hurts reveals your bias.

Regardless of where Dak ranks in the NFL QB hierarchy, he is by any objective metric a better passing quarterback than Jalen Hurts over a large sample size. Hurts is asked to do very, very little in terms of reading defenses.

THAT'S ... why they play the games.

We lose and this place will implode.
Me thinks implosion will be of a much greater magnitude if they make the playoffs and they get bounced in the first round.

They have one of the best offenses but tge absolute worst defense. But maybe that defebse looks bad because you have to be aggressive to outscore their offense. Dak will have no time to workout any issues. Hes gonna need to be instant money when they pass.

My prediction for the Lions game.

If Dak returns from injury and struggles, but wins, the faction who clearly would still be angry with him if he won back to back Super Bowls will continue to state they have been telling us all along this guy is a waste.

If Dak wins big, then it was the Lions and Rush would have won bigger.

If Dallas loses, even if it is a fumble on a pick by the Dallas defense that is run for a touchdown, Dak is the reason Dallas lost. He could not put the lowly Lions away.

There will be no scenario where Dak will come out of this unscathed by the detractors. Even if he hung up over 50 points and the defense held the Lions to nothing, Dak will be lambasted for the outcome. Especially if Dak were to throw for seven touchdowns. The hue and cry will state Kellen Moore is now going Air Coryell, and this will come back to kill Dallas because Dak is the worst QB in the league at the starting position.

Just my prediction. And none of this actually reveals what I think about Prescott.

So that cool post was just about your feelings when you ended with that does not change your feeling about the QB.

The Lions present some issues with their effective running game and offense.

But their defense absolutely blows. Can't rush the passer, can't cover, can't stop the run, can't do much of anything on that side of the ball. Perhaps the worst defense in the NFL.

That makes for a perfect team to make the switch back to Dak at quarterback. He should be under very little duress, and the running game should provide some manageable third downs all game long. Dak won't likely have to throw much, probably 20-25 passes total.

That's not to say this will be a blowout, but a comfortable win looks to be in the offing. Great chance to find a rhythm with the receivers, and get the feel of game action again for Dak.

Yep, a perfect opponent for Dak.....

We thought Denver at home last year was the perfect game to re-insert Dak

These are the types of teams Dak is notorious for beating up on and padding his less than remarkable stats. I would have preferred he started last week in Philly. All his homies keep saying he is going to come back and light it up, so throw him to the wolves and see if he can light it up against one of the better teams he always seems to have difficulty beating.

Ok I just have to point something out. I read the headline to this thread, and my first thought was the very fact that we as fans have to consider when a good time to bring Dak back because of his fragility tells us everything we need to know. He's been a starting QB for 6 years, making top QB money we could really use elsewhere, and the media darling... and yet, we all know we have to treat him with kids' gloves. It SUCKS to think about. I'm a little embarassing this is what we get as Cowboy fans. But the fact is everyone knows what Dak we would have gotten last week. That Dak where he's on the bench staring ahead, absolutely befuddled. The game leaving him behind. Not understanding what he's seeing or worse not seeing. Even his biggest fans can picture that face right?

This thread has been made entirely trying to avoid that face... the face we get to see in the big moments.

I agree. Hurts is being hidden using a system that its success is dependent on no obvious passing situations. In other words, 3rd and short. The RPO they are running does that because they're pretty good at running it. Their first loss will come when Hurts has to deal with 3rd and long all game.

That said, with or without Dak, we can't have these games where we score 9 points. Or wait until the 4th quarter to come back if we're down early.

I don't know.

I don't think Dak will live up to the mythical status he always seems to rise to whenever he is out injured.

I remember what he looked like Week 1.

Im excited to watch, because Cooper provided us a baseline to see how Dak performs not just this week but the rest of the season. I feel like that’s a rare gift for students of the game that are trying to assess player talent, especially QB.

Make no mistake, with this insanely easy schedule, if we are still averaging less than 25 pts a game with Dak at the helm…. I would find it hard to view him as a franchise QB going forward
