We don't need a WR , we need a new scheme!

I agree with you, OP. When you watch the flow and design of our offense and compare it to the Rams or the Bills or even the Dolphins, the differences are glaring.

The teams mentioned above get their playmakers the ball ON THE MOVE and in a position to attack the defense.

The Cowboys are notoriously fixated on curls and comebacks or stop routes which require the catcher to halt all momentum and turn to face the QB.
Certainly makes you wonder why that is.

I would love more crossing routes
It’s the hardest route to cover and allows the reciever a better chance at attacking the defender in space
Accuracy is key or you get picked all day.

There are ways to scheme to a WR talents, the question is are we doing that? or do we need WR that fit this scheme if KM cant change it.

Good question but let’s be honest our WRs clearly don’t have the speed of Tyreek and Ja’marr or the physicality of Tee, Hopkins or Davante or the lateral agility of Kupp. Can only do so much from a scheme standpoint before you hit the wall on returns.

At the same time Moore’s routes are as if these guys are beating their man regularly. Doesn’t make sense.

This is my opinion also, our WR are who they are and the "Beat the man in front of you" scheme is a bad mix for this WR group.

Crossing routes require accuracy and timing. Throw it too high, tipped ball that can lead to an INT. Throw it too far in front or behind, again INT. I think we all know why we don't do those patterns often.

Forget about wasting draft capital for a player. The person that needs to be traded or gone is Kellen Moore. Season after season the offense struggles with basic game plans. Kellen Moore seems to get worse every season.

We've made the trade for Coop we've drafted players, yet we still struggle to score and have a basic attack on offense. One that actually makes a defensive coordinator have nightmares. Please give your thoughts...

I agree with you 100%. I get so jealous when I look at the way the Cheifs, the 49ers, and creative offenses like that call plays. Those are REAL offensive coordinators.

KM don't have the intelligence and killer instinct of the better coordinators in the league. We played games where we had our running hitting for 4 and 5 yards a pop. KM dumb *** would aid the opposing defense by stop calling run plays.... other coordinators would run the ball down your damn throats until your backup linemen and line backers are tired.

When other coordinators see that you can't stop the run, they gash you all game because YOU CAN'T STOP IT.

KM would have the running game clicking on all cylinders and the opposing defense would start to wear down.... then KM dumb *** would start calling a bunch of pass plays.

We have the dumbest offensive coordinator in the league and we suffer for it.

On that subject, does Dak hit the receivers in stride in practice? Is our offense "dummy" downed due to the Qbs inability to do basic qb duties?

Horrible hijack attempt do better man. you could have used Dak's name more, maybe throw in other places he has touched your life..this will not bring the Dak war to this thread....

Dak doesn’t throw those crossing routes with confidence. This is one area the coach’s need to address with some teaching and practice.

Collinsworth inferred it multiple times vs Tampa that the WRs have to win their 1v1 battles or we’re going to struggle and he wasn’t confident that was going to happen.

Hard to believe the Cowboys had the best offense in the NFL just last year isn't it???

This was after the Tampa Bay game. Of course he then went onto say that with Rush thu didn’t change their aggressiveness in play calling.

If you adjust for 9 TDs by defense and special teams, which Dallas led the league in by far, they drop to about 5th or 6th. And the Eagles games against third string scrubs, hardly impressive.

If the ground game keeps going, the passing game is good enough. Another RB would do more for the offense than another WR. It ain't as exciting to watch, but as long as we don't turn the ball over, our D will keep us in the game against anyone.

Which means not having #21? Watching other players run, it's clear that we'd move the ball more with a different runner Zeke just doesn't give you much game breaking abilities

I think the OP is right. Our slow starts and no starts started when Moore took over in 2019. Dallas used to have a better gameplan. Our run game is boring. Whatever happened to the delayed draw? Zeke would be the perfect back for that. Do a few more toss plays. That's where pollard comes in. Enough with this right up the middle 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

It's useless I'm sorry, the same exact results. My thing is this is why Kellen calls so many pass plays because we can't run well all the time. 3 yard gains get me heated when I know we can scheme a better play than what is called

I don’t necessarily disagree about Moore, but just last year we were the # 1 offense in the league from both a yardage and scoring standpoint.

AND THAT GOT US WHAT IN THE PLAYOFFS???? TIRED OF STATS that's all we do!!
