We could beat them at home and still not over take division. Their remaining schedule is easy peasy.

Egirls only non divisional game left against a winning record team is Tenn. And it’s at home.

Even if they lose to us and maybe NY once. I’m seeing 15-2, 14-3 or 13-4 at worse.

That means they’d have to finish 6-4. Just hard to see right now.

Anyone can do this. What great teams do we have to play?

Yea, while I’d prefer higher seed and a home playoff game , my concern is more to the opponent .

And I like the possibility of being a better record team and also potentially a better team than a lower seed divisional winner on the road in a slight underdog role. Kinda like SF last year.
We aren’t a poor road team so that’s working for us…just history, which has little to do with this years team, just saying.

I do agree that I’d rather have a certain opponent on the road vs a better one at home.

I think we would crush whoever wins the south (including Tampa next time around), but I’m just not up for even thinking along the lines of not winning the division. I’m no homer, but I feel like we are better overall than Philly.

Division record is going to be a factor (assuming we beat Philly on 12/24, moot otherwise), so the Thanksgiving game is vital….and probably the Giants beating Philly once are big factors.

5th Seed my ***. We play them again. We need to keep up and beat them at home. This defense is Godzilla. No losing! Good Lord I can't wait until we play Green Bay.

Why is *** censored? It's not censored anywhere else. Not in the media at any level.
Even if we win on the 24th we probably don’t catch them

You know we will end up with the 5th seed, Tampa Bay will turn things around, and we'll play at Tampa Bay in the Wild Card game.

Fun.
Honestly would not surprise me if Green Bay turned it around and overtakes Minnesota. With our current run D, Green Bay is going to be a tough game. Now if we can make Rodgers drop back I like our pass rush! (thats a weird thing to say)

We play basically the same schedule as the Eagles rest of the way, but yet the eagles schedule is easy and ours is not?

Eagles play the NYG twice who looks like a good team at this point. Are they as good as their record, who knows. We already beat them, and I believe with Dak we could have beat them, or at least not turn the ball over inside our 50 4 times with Rush, it could have been different.

Without looking, I think the difference is we play the Vikings, they play the Saints. Otherwise it is the same teams. Eagles just need to drop a game before we play them, an we beat them. And win all the other division games.

Way too much football to be played yet though. I am sure after Eagles slaughter the Texans though on Thursday, all the Eagles lovers in here will be slobbering.
Maybe the Texans pull an upset.
All of their tough games are home games. We have Green Bay, Minnesota, Titans on the road!

Yea, but winning division is really a bigger outside chance .

We need much help while basically winning out. Just don’t see them losing more than 3 games . 6-4 for them would almost be like a collapse. Just can’t see it at this time .

And look at their upcoming games. Who are they going to lose to? Hou, Wash, Indy. That’s looks like 10-0. Just saying.

I see us as a 12 or 13 win W/C.

I don't know why. We don't play any tough teams either. We just have to keep up. But even if we don't, I'd be a lot more comfortable if we beat them at home.

Going by that seeding I'd have the 49ers beating the Vikings, Seahawks beating the Giants and Cowboys beating the Falcons in the wild card round.

In the divisional round I'd have the 49ers beating the Eagles and the Cowboys actually getting to the Championship Game defeating the Seahawks. Two very favorable matchups for them. Even on the road.

Then the 49ers smack us around relentlessly until we cry uncle.

49ers to the Super Bowl to face the Bills. Jerry turns 81 next year.

49ers are most experienced and proven playoff team currently in the mix. With the only QB that’s been to a SB. Definitely the favorites in my mind as well with GB, TB and LA out.

Meh….you know the league. Upsets are almost common. If we beat them on 12/24 and win our other two division games I like our chances.

Although your work has pointed out that the five seed isn’t necessarily a death sentence….

Id say it’s much more likely we overtake Phil for the division than win three straight road playoff games.

Let's hope they do drop a game. I think the only upset the Texans will pull is the fans will be upset. If/when their suspended qb returns, it could be a different ball game. Mr. Jackson will make a difference....maybe.

I never said we’d win three straight road playoff games.

What I will say is I can see a scenario as 5th seed to reach our 1st championship game this era or since the 90’s.

I just don’t see either team losing much. I am hoping for a couple wc upsets so we can get them in the nfccg…that would be epic.

I was thinking Texans might be a spot where they could lose because of travelling on a short week….but unlikely

Basically the Egirls would need to lose more than 3 of their remaining games ( going 6-4) and we only lose 1 ( going 8-1) without bringing in tiebreaker situations if we split with them .

Thats just not a scenario I see as a high probability at this time .

Right .

As a matter of fact I could see a scenario as 5th seed we could even get championship game at home if a lower seed like SF won as a W/C too.
