Yea, wonder why they no longer play any home games in Milwaukee?

Money, as the answer to most questions. They began playing there part time due to money. Once they finally renovated Lambeau enough that it became more profitable to only play there, they stopped splitting sites. Milwaukee only held around 53,000 people for a football game. Lambeau currently holds 81,000.

Dallas needs to bury this team and punish Rodgers.

Here you go;

Both the Packers and Cowboys finished last in 1988 in each of the NFC's two five-team divisions, and so they played twice in '89. Also, Tampa and Dallas finished last in those divisions in '89 and played each other two times in 1990.

Apparently uneven divisional teams in conference created the need for some teams playing a non divisional team twice. When the realignment came in early 90’s this was resolved .

Great question !!!!

Thanks! Makes sense.

Overall in the series, the Cowboys are 5-9 playing in Wisconsin during the regular season___
3-2 at Milwaukee County Stadium
2-7 at Lambeau Field

I was there for our first win at Lambeau. It was a Sunday night game in September 2008. We racked up over 200 yards rushing. I had a blast!

Actually, they stopped playing in Milwaukee long before the Lambea renovation. Ron Wolf decided it made no sense from a home field advantage. Even now tho, Packer games at Lambeau are divided between Milwaukee ticket holders and Green Bay ticket holder. One game is for Milwaukee Stadium ticket holders and the next is for Green Bay ticket holders.

The Orange Bowl was an even worse place to play for Dallas.

0-2 in the regular season
1-2 in Playoff Bowls
0-3 in Super Bowls

I was at SB XIII. What a dump of a stadium. Felt like it was going to collapse. RFK in Washington was almost as bad.

Lambeau Field has been a House of Horrors for America’s Team, with the Cowboys losing nine of 11 visits to the Green Bay Packers’ fabled stadium. From the infamous Ice Bowl in 1967, to the 45-7 lackluster loss that got Wade Phillips fired in mid-season in 2010, to Dez Bryant’s controversial catch-non-catch in the 2015 playoff loss, the “frozen tundra” has generally been inhospitable to the Cowboys.

Heading to eastern Wisconsin in November can always be a dicey - icy? - proposition, but the Cowboys and coach McCarthy just might be catching the Packers at a cozy time.

The forecast Sunday calls for temperatures in the mid-30s with clear skies. The outlook for the struggling Packers couldn’t be more inviting.

McCarthy, who coached the Packers to a Super Bowl championship during his 13-year career, won’t recognize his former team when returns to Green Bay as an opposing coach for the time since he was fired in 2018.
A struggling team can be dangerous. All the miscues of the previous game will most likely be cleaned up and it will be up to Dallas to come to play at historic Lambeau with their A game and not slack off. The NFL can produce underdogs as victorious winners on any given Sunday. I never like to go into any game cocky with the attitude that the game is won before it's played. However I do like swagger and confidence going into any game. Hope ARod is on the turf a lot by committee all day long.

I fixed your quote above.

I attended one of those losses in 1989 with the Cowboys Travel Club which Jethro begun in his inaugural season. It was in mid to late October and weather was mild for them in the 40’s - 50’s.

I had traveled with the team initially to New Orleans in JJ’s debut game and stayed at same hotel able to greet the players and coaches in their arrival. We also had breakfast with one of the asst coaches .

Such a wonderful Travel Club . Did several times thru the 90’s. But this particular trip stands out as my favorite . Not only was it my first encounter with our current owner as we were in the gift shop in line together but my most enjoyable trip.

If you ever travel or attend any road venue Green Bay is the place to go. The history in Title Town USA is amazing. Packers have their own Hall of Fame museum. And the Cowboys are well represented.

Green Bay is by far the smallest city of all NFL sites. And I’ve never been more warmly greeted by the citizens but also the fans . Classy classy fans and people. No other venue, city or fans measure up .
Took the wife there a few weeks ago. She's a die hard Pack fan that she inherited from her father. It was a bucket list trip for her, she even got me to wear her father's old Packer sweatshirt (she wore Cowboys gear when I brought her to Dallas games, so fair is fair).

It was a great experience, I can say I enjoyed watching the Jets kick their butt, since she doesn't read this forum :)

Great fans I might add, I'm in the northeast and a buddy of mine's father played for the NY Titans, pre-cursor to the Jets. So I've been to a few Jets games, just for entertainment and their fans suck...lol

The 2013 loss to the Matt-Flynn led Packers. We were up 26-3 at halftime. They couldn't stop the run to save their lives. Clay Matthews even said they had a difficult time with our OL zone-blocking scheme. So, what does the offensive genius Garrett do? Completely abandoned the run the 2nd half, and gave Green Bay - a team that's been around since the Civil War - their largest come from behind victory. Garrett should have been fired after that game.

Another factor surrounding this matchup - this is the first home game in almost a month - an Oct 16th loss to the Jets.
The Titletown Faithful will be out in force and very loud; Cowboys have to jump on the Pack early and often to
- deflate the crowd
- demoralize the opponent
