Let's be honest with ourselves, the December 24th game vs the Eagles will probably not matter

And do we expect the Cowboys to go on a 6 game winning with Dak as the starter when he is 0-2 in his last two Thanksgiving starts? And the last time this time went on a 6 game winning streak with Dak as QB was his rookie season.
2021 games 2 thru 7, 6 wins in 6 games
2021 games 12 thru 17, 5 wins in 6 games

Even if Philly has the division wrapped up by week 16 we could be in a tight battle for a wildcard spot and need that win. Tampa could get hot and they already hold a tiebreaker over us. The game against Philly will matter.

dont give an F about whether or not it affects who wins the East. Put a beat down on the Sheagles and let them how who really owns the the division. And just incase they meet again in the playoffs let them know have no chance. Go Cowboys!

Thats assuming we are 12-2 on Christmas eve morning
No, it assumes any combination of Eagles losses and Cowboys wins that result in the Cowboys winning 1 more than the Eagles plus beating the Eagles in order to have a tied record.

Cowboys/Eagles is game 15.
Cowboys
6 of 8
1 of 6
Win game 15

Eagles
8 of 8
0 of 6
Lose game 15

Recap Cowboys/Eagles wins
1/0
2/1
3/2
4/3
5/4
6/5

I mean lets be honest right now, are we expecting the eagles to lose more than one game between now and December 24th? Its likely they will have lose 0 or 1 game by that time with them already leading by 3 games. And do we expect the Cowboys to go on a 6 game winning with Dak as the starter when he is 0-2 in his last two Thanksgiving starts? And the last time this time went on a 6 game winning streak with Dak as QB was his rookie season. So you can how that matchup with the eagles will probably be meaningless based on Eagles remaining schedule and Dak's history on Thanksgiving and after thanksgiving,

Lets focus on the playoffs, and worry about the eagles in January.

It's November 11th. I see no reason to "focus on the playoffs" with about half a season yet to play. Have fun with that.

That game may not matter to the Eagles, at least not for the standings, but it will probably matter a lot for Dallas. I am pretty sure the game against the Titans will be big for both teams too.

I think the Cowboys will win 11 or 12 games and make the playoffs but they do have a couple of more losses to suffer before the end of the season.

You can think what ever you want. The fact is in NFL history, there have been hardly any undefeated teams that late in the season. The dang Jets beat the “Super Bowl” favorites last week. If you had it figured out you should go to Vegas and put your money where your mouth is:

I think the Eagles will drop a few, and I think it's very possible we win the rest. I'm not saying I'd bet my paycheck on it, but I do think it's a strong possibility.

Oh come on...Be bold and bet it all! Fanduel is waiting for your call.

Well, aside from the fact that Jimmy seems to think we can win the division, I don't think you can use past years' history to even try to determine this year's events. This defense is beyond anything we've had in decades, I don't think the Eagles are as good as their record says, and hopefully Moore has learned a thing or two since week one.

I agree that Philly isn't as good as their record says they are. IMHO, their only quality win was against Minnesota in September.

Eagles could lose some divisional games, but as could we. It's naive to think they will slip up and we won't, but it's possible.
Washington could beat them, Giants fully healthy their defense could definitely stop them from running the ball.

It is going to matter because it can mean the wildcard spot for one of teams due to how many NFC teams currently in the hunt.

Whomever in the driver seat, don’t want to see their rival potentially in the divisional round.

If one thing has become clear in the NFCE over the past decade, divisional games very much matter up though the last game of the season. Situations can change very quickly in the NFL from week to week. The showdown on Christmas Eve is going to be a playoff like atmosphere.

It looks bad. But in reality, if Dallas beats the Eagles, they're 1 game behind. A lot of stuff can happen from that point going forward through 9 games. But we have to keep pace with them.
