Let's be honest with ourselves, the December 24th game vs the Eagles will probably not matter

Was that a real question?
No, not really.

I haven't been overly thrilled with Dak's performance in a couple of the big games. Especially last year in the playoff game. But to try and make as if we can't beat the Eagles on Thanksgiving because Dak has lost the games on Thanksgiving all by himself, is silly. I was pointing out that everyone who played for us in those games lost. Dak certainly played a role, perhaps even a big role, but he's not the only guy out there. In my opinion, Dak wasn't the problem...but he wasn't the solution either. I just grow weary at the constant negativity surrounding the QB. They did it to Romo, too.

I just want to win. As a fan, I want this team to do something in the playoffs.

Of course, I'm not playing, but I am not the least bit scared of playing the Eagles in Philadelphia during the playoffs - possibly in the NFC Championship Game.
In fact, I hope we do.
I feel this team is built for the road and the cold weather.
I think the weather will knock the chill off Philly's offense than it will ours.
Just my opinion.

I mean lets be honest right now, are we expecting the eagles to lose more than one game between now and December 24th? Its likely they will have lose 0 or 1 game by that time with them already leading by 3 games. And do we expect the Cowboys to go on a 6 game winning with Dak as the starter when he is 0-2 in his last two Thanksgiving starts? And the last time this time went on a 6 game winning streak with Dak as QB was his rookie season. So you can how that matchup with the eagles will probably be meaningless based on Eagles remaining schedule and Dak's history on Thanksgiving and after thanksgiving,

Let’s focus on the playoffs, and worry about the eagles in January.
You have no idea what the Eagles will do. A lot of football still to play…..I agree don’t worry about them but you don’t concede the division….

It looks bad. But in reality, if Dallas beats the Eagles, they're 1 game behind. A lot of stuff can happen from that point going forward through 9 games. But we have to keep pace with them.

Lets just focus on November including Thanksgiving which seems to be the day Dak plays like trash

LOL tell me about it. We just seem to suck on Thanksgiving. Even in 2014. We got blown out by the Eagles.

Regardless of how crap our offense has been, our D can't get off the field. I don't expect that to be the case against the Giants.

The Cowboys can only control their own performances and in terms of winning the division, their destiny isn’t in their hands.

But the Cowboys almost certainly will make the playoffs and they can control how the season ends.

They already 3 games ahead so that's the reason the game probably wont matter. That's asking a lot for Dallas to be 12-2 on Christmas Eve. And lets by some miracle they win 6 in a row with Dak and 12-2, the eagles will still be too many games ahead for that game to mean anything.

Not really…
3 games..yeah in a way they are, but we beat them and it is 1 game.

Are you saying Philly will keep winning and Dallas won’t? There is no reason why we can’t keep winning also.
Right now, Eagles need to lose against NYG or Washington, and we win the other 3 division games we have left. And win every time Eagles win. We in the division.
It is easily obtainable.

Did someone really say that they are 3 games ahead of us? Really How did they figure that, they are up on us in the division by one game!
They are 2-0 in the division and we are 1-1, whomever has the better division record wins no matter how the overall record looks, am I correct?
I believe in the 80s we had a situation like that where we had the better record but in the division it was not and therefore we lost the division title

You never know what happens in the NFL. I’ve seen too many seasons unfold to think we have no shot at the division or on the opposite side that we will ease into the playoffs. Let’s sit back and watch what happens.

What do silly irrelevant arguments with the OP mean? @Scotman

Good post. And you're right about Dak not being an elite game changer when it counts. [Implied]

Well, aside from the fact that Jimmy seems to think we can win the division, I don't think you can use past years' history to even try to determine this year's events. This defense is beyond anything we've had in decades, I don't think the Eagles are as good as their record says, and hopefully Moore has learned a thing or two since week one.

That is the key, isn't it. Let's hope he doesn't pull his typical it looks like he's learned only to inexplicably move away from what works a la Garrett.

Implied and inferred mean two different things. You inferred that. I did not imply that. His career may end up that way, but it hasn't yet.

People tend to infer things that were not implied when they have assumptions that they are seeking validation for. Hence, you drawing a conclusion that was never stated or implied.

Did you just go at him for posting something irrelevant in response to your irrelevant comments? Surely you aren't so self-important that coloring outside of the lines is reserved just for you.

Look, it's obvious you think Dak is the reason we aren't winning and can't win. While I would hate to feel that way, you're entitled to your opinion. But you've decided that your opinion is a fact. You're trying to argue your opinion as a fact and not making anything close to a convincing argument. Heck, you're arguing with me and I wasn't even been happy with Dak's play last year in the playoffs.

You started by stating that Dak was zero for two in his last two Thanksgiving games. Are you unable or unwilling to say how other current Cowboys have done over the same time period? Perhaps you are both unwilling and unable to answer what should be a very, very simple question?

Edited to add: His comment was actually completely relevant to your comment. You clearly didn't comprehend the question and he was pointing out your error. It was completely relevant to the comment that you made. If you feel like his comment wasn't relative to your comment, post how that could possibly be.

Cowboys won 11 games in a row under Dak his rookie year. At least bash with the correct information.

But I do agree it will be meaningless. Nothing to do with dak. Eagles schedule is just too easy.
