That's a no-no and grounds for release.[/QUOTE]
If he was smart he'd get away from this organization.

He shouldn't be scapegoated for a horrible QB.

Funny when he ran it the way it was supposed to be run it was a big gain.. lol and why would Jimmy Johnson scapegoat Dak or Olson, or Irvin (ceedee his guy) Chad Johnson...
You need to be released...lol

They should trade ceedee to green bay. Their receivers are the best in league at running the wrong routes.

Not the wrong route.. just the right route run incorrectly. He has allowed his instinct to run towards what he perceives to be open space to cause him to fail to honor a fundamental rule when running over the middle routes.. which is that you CANNOT let the safety beat you to the spot. You have to cross his face because the QB is counting you to get there before the DB does and will throw it to a spot rather than to a body. If you don't go to the spot but the DB does, instant INT. CeeDee is not the first receiver to do this.. But if he's going to continue to he our go to receiver he has to get that fixed. He's got to be willing to go up and take the hit to make the catch (or draw the PI) by forcing the DB to have to go through him to make a play on the ball.

Yep the only time you run it the way Lamb ran it is if its 2 high.

Watch the end zone pick. Schultz was bumped off his route and didn't lead the safety far enough ahead, but Dak had a very good view of it and threw the ball anyway. Meanwhile, Pollard was running to the right corner of the end zone, with enough room to pass it to him.

Funny how the announcers stated Schultz didn't run his route correctly and Dak threw before the traffic jam occurred.

What is funnier is fans who watch a replay and believe they knew the right spot to throw it and that the QB saw that open guy.

Everybody go watch Mick Shots takes on youtube. Nate Newton, Everson Walls and Mick will go through why both int's were on the tight end and Lamb. Dak had no options in the play once the ball had left and both guys ran the wrong routes. Walls said it gave him highlite film when guys run routes like lamb did. Go watch...if you dare.....

I played WR in high school and our coaches would destroy us if we ran sloppy routes. I was telling my son that these are some of the sloppiest and laziest routes I’ve ever seen in pro football. And there is no way if I was Dak would I feel confident throwing ahead of the WR’s break with this offense.

We need Irvin as the receiver coach. He would absolutely destroy receivers who ran sloppy routes. Then again, it might make our depth suffer because of the little feelings he'd hurt doing it. They might need to take injury time in a safe space.

Soft. The team is soft.

I saw it, Schultz was in front of the safety when Dak threw it. But Schultz failed to keep the safety shielded from the ball once it was in the air.

Like I said, watch it. Schultz definitely caused the safety to be there, I don't dispute that. But it was pretty clear before Dak threw it.

The routes were terrible, the play call wasn't great because there wasn't much room to drive the safety back, etc. but that 2nd interception falls on Dak and never should have been thrown. They are up 7-0 and just got a turnover, trying to force that throw on 3rd and goal from the 12 was stupid.

You have to throw that away and take the 3 points.

He’s forcing throws because right now Ceedee is all he got. No one is breaking free and none of our receivers are giving ANY defensive backs reason to take a step back as their first move. Gallup is plodding out there and Noah is a plodder anyways.

Yes i remember when Rush was playing. He hit a plethora of different receivers. I remember when this forum said that Noah Brown is a #2 wr and we dont need Gallup back.

Now we have a QB that locks on one wr because he is not able to read the field.

He said it was on Cee Dee. Not Dak...Two games straight Cee Dee ran wrong route to cause a int.
It’s not so much wrong route but improperly running the route. The little details in a route are so important
The one in the end zone is similar. The play design didn’t work because Schultz didn’t run his part right

The route was an option route. if the safety is staying put you run the route over the top of the safety. if the safety starts backing up you run the route underneath the safety. The safety wasn't moving so lamb try to run it deep, but Dak threw it short.

It's just two guys not been on the same page. But the play caller needs to take that play out of the playbook. Because the wide receiver is not looking back to see Dak being blitzed. So, Dak through it short because of the blitz, but Lamb didn't know that was a blitz. It's just a bad play, that needs to be tossed.

Yeah it's been bad for us most of the year. I count three INTs off it and 2 more that should have been picked. It needs to go back to the drawing board until Lamb and Dak get their communication down. Lamb has got to look back and see the blitz and know he has to cut the route short. It's pretty basic stuff in the modern NFL but then don't forget Lamb played in the Big 12.. where running actual routes was optional. A lot of the plays in that league "just go out yonder and git open I'll tho it to ya.."
