Who knows what he has left in the tank, but when you need bodies you have to sign someone. You either sign a veteran with a track record or raid someone’s practice squad for an unknown. He’s a stop gap until the rookie gets back and if he plays just ok then you have additional depth. Does he move the needle probably not but it’s better to address the issue then sticking your head in the sand and hoping for the best.

heck, we got some fat guy for the offensive line who won't be in shape all year long, but look on the bright side he's a good mentor. lmao, why not hire a coach?

Loved him when he was starting for the Mike Zimmer in Minnesota. Prototype NT that could demand a double team, Stop the run an could put a little pressure on the passer too. Now, I am not so sure. Staley's defense is bad and I think that has to do with the fact he's trying to run the Defense the way he did with LA. He doesn't have the pieces though.

Pretty sure at this point in their careers that Hankins is at least as good, if not better than Joseph.

We'd already acquired him, so there really isnt much need for Joseph (who was home on the couch anyway)

We add a bust edge rusher and they get real help for their run defense.

A round of applause for our front office.

hes not better than hankins, same old signings for all teams this time of year, reason hes still out there, right trash bin

Wait until they draft Jalen Carter next year. Gonna be brutal to see
We better pray that the Saints don’t go into a complete meltdown… Howie Roseman plus the first overall pick equals disaster for us. How many 23 and later first rounders could howie turn the first overall pick in to…

So true. Wonder if they'd go Will Anderson DE or collect multiple firsts. The point is the Saints are in a position to give Philly a top 5 to 15 pick because there are a ton of 3 and 4 win teams. Hoping they get some wins and push Philly back to 15 or so.

He has to suck
. As the Great all knowing Micky says, "if he was that good, why was he available?"

This is the exact type of move we needed to make. Instead we get a reclamation project at an already deep position.

But it sure is fun pretending you're a GM!
It doesn’t matter who plays DT.
  1. The Cowboys have been gashed off tackle and edge more than inside lately.
  2. The DT doesn’t make much difference unless the scheme is designed to stop the run and the players are willing to follow the scheme instead of being “the wild boys.”
  3. You can’t stop the run on a regular basis with LVE and Parsons at LB, paired with a safety. While he wasn’t setting the world on fire, we are missing Barr’s size and strength.

If you think we stink vs the run because our players get blown off the line, then that should have improved with Hankins whom everyone applauded and who looked good in his first Cowboys experience.

The reality is that we have a good DT rotation that is deeper than most. GB killed us off tackle and outside more than up the middle, so I’m not sure how a NT fixes that.

I don’t think it’s the players. I think Quinn and the players need to make it a priority, and if they don’t, and this Rush defense continues to hurt us, you can celebrate that Quinn will be back….no one is going to offer him a head job this year if he doesn’t have an answer to the most basic defensive issue.

The Cowboys added a DT already there is no way Stephen adds another. Honestly i'm not sure it's needed. Just put the jumbo package together and maintain their gaps and teams won't be running on them as much, they'll be passing.
