A strong safety that tackled like a LB. A free safety that could run and cover the backend. A slot corner that could play single coverage on any WR not named Jerry Rice.

Yeah, Woody was not good, he was great! Time for his yellow jacket.

Woodie shoulda been inducted a decade ago. He was twice the player John Lynch was.. and a better all around player than Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu. But he gets disrespected because he was a Dallas Cowboy.. None of the those guys could line up on a slot receiver and blanket him 40 yards downfield on one snap then body up with a 260 pound tight end on the next.. then blow up a 230 pound running back the next. One the best to ever do it.. Period.

Woodson was a great player and the Cowboys have been trying to find his replacement ever since he retired.

He could play strong safety and free safety while also playing up as a cornerback when necessary and he was great at all of it.

While I understand not first-balloting him, the fact that he still has not already been selected into the HoF is completely ridiculous.
