How many times have Cowboys fans buy into the hype, only to end the season with a disappointing conclusion.

Being a Dallas fan since 1977, seeing the Cowboys, in the playoffs, were a year thing. Winning playoff games and even getting to Superbowls once and a while.

Like seasons past, it has be enjoyable, seeing the Cowboys winning more games than losing. But I am not going to buy into the FOOLS GOLD Jerry sells fans since 1995.
Jerry wins every season b/c Dallas is the richest franchise in all of sports. At very least, Top 5. On the field, can't even get to a NFC Conference game. Until this team can get to one conference finals, not falling for it.
Dak has a losing playoff record, as did Romo did. A fan of both, but neither could produce in the playoffs.
So hopefully, this is that season to get to a NFC Conference. Don't have to win the darn game, just get there. Until then...fools gold
No team in the nfl should believe any hype. See the undefeated Patriots who got beat by a guy spazing out.

Enjoy each week and win as they come.

There's really nothing wrong with a team trying to stimulate interest in their product. I feel we all have the capacity to determine whether to believe it or not. It's strictly up to the individual to decide if there's intent to cause harm to those who happen to read it. I find no malice in a team attempting to sell their product. I believe all teams choose to do that with the idea to please their fans. Some find success and some don't. It's just business, as usual.

I’m waiting to see how we play Tennessee. We have some divisional games that are important. Those generally are closer than they should be though. Tennessee could be this year’s Arizona game. If we get smoked we will also get smoked in the playoffs. If we can play them tough then I’ll be a believer in our team.

I remember when these stands were at "make the playoffs" before Parcells came to town. Then it became "win a playoff game." Now it is "get to the NFCCG" All the while the "X years since we won the SB" is ticked up every year.

And they claim they are not buying the hype.

This is a very good team. Maybe one of the best in the history of the franchise. If you can't see it, you are either blind or don't know what you are looking at.

Must suck to have that attitude....but, if it works for you, that's good.
I get disappointed, but que sera, sera.

Wow, you probably think Of Mice and Men is about an exterminator. He didn't say he was giving up. He said he was waiting until he sees it to believe it.

Yeah, and it's wise to just take a wait and see approach. Cheer the team on and take it one game at a time. Trying to buy in hype more often than not ends in tears after the season. It's nice that we are likely going to be a back to back playoff team. That's a good stop to becoming a very good team. If we can get to the NFCC, then that's a fantastic season.

I feel this team is different. It’s odd. I can’t explain it. All depends if they stick with the run game winning formula. Everyone loves to talk about Dak checking out of runs but disappear when they talk about him checking into runs. Either way. Micah is the reason we get to the NFCCG this season

Sounds like you need to get that checked if you can’t explain it.

in all seriousness, we said that last year. And in 2018. And in 2016. And in 2014. And all the years before that extending back to 96.

Team should just be focusing on trying to win the division if possible then the playoffs. Step by step. Let the media gas yourself up with Super Bowl talk and rankings.

So you’re also a bandwagon fan?

Oh my goodness. Not everyone thinks the same as you. You're NOT the only Cowboys fan to ever exist. Nor would it be fun if you were. This is a very wealthy team in large part because it's a massive fanbase. We cheer on this team the ways that we know how to do. I'd say most people on here are Cowboys fans. We all just have different approaches.

For example, some of us have never seen a championship and would like to see one. Some of us have been around a long time. That doesn't matter. We see things the same way sometimes, and sometimes we see things differently. That doesn't make someone necessarily less of a Cowboys fan than another. It just means someone has a different opinion. It's ok to have differing opinions. That's what makes people different instead of robots.

I happen to be excited for where this team is heading. I'm encouraged by what I see. I think we have great things coming, but I can understand why someone would take a wait and see approach.

I think people are misunderstanding. Not sure what hype y’all are accusing folks of believing unless it’s their 8-3 record. Some of believe the team can go all the way while others expect the same thing to happen as last year. That’s just a loser mentality. Not accusing you of that, but certainly the OP an runswildly
