Am I wrong about Hurts?

They'll have to eventually if he continues to improve, but they have 3 years until then.

I actually really like the dude. He was pure class at Alabama and OU.

Oh I like him, too. I’d even say I’m a fan of the guy.

I just know philly can’t draft for squat, and it would severely hamper their FA moves on future teams.

I've never trashed on Hurts like he wasn't capable.

Fact is he can and is thriving in the right offense.

That said I don't believe he is enough of a passer to succeed long term. Defenses tend to catch up to running qbs. Lamar Jackson is the exception. Hurts may be able to join him in that list, but it's a long road. Hurts isn't built like the type of qb I would imagine sustains this run. He will eventually be broken. Coordinators will scheme around him.

Jackson is a 4.3 athlete, Hurts isn't in his company. It's a matter of time, and I still believe Philly is about to drop some games.

If they beat the Titans, I'll shut my mouth on that forecast.

Jalen looks good to me. Unlike Dak, he isnt having a sophomore slump is fully utilizing the personnel around him. He's on Dak's level already as passer and is a much better runner than Dak ever was. If you think Dak is good then Jalen is a monster.

Jalen has surprised a lot of people with his passing improvement, I think they decrease his rushing when the the tight end returns in a couple of weeks.

He's NOT on Daks level as a passer. Good player, better runner and super tough. Not the passer.

Hurts right now has a higher passer rating than Dak Prescott has ever had for a season.

Hurts is a much better rushing quarterback.

Hurts has higher intangibles the Dak. Dak has very good intangibles, while Hurts is elite. That cat just oozes leadership.

Sorry, just keeping it real…

You have to blitz Hurts so he can make a quick decision something hes not good at..dont know why teams don't
This is the opposite of what I see. He is a ONE read QB. Read one defender and make a pass. Blitzing him only makes his single read easier.

Dude is 10-1 this year.

This place would be going nuts if the Cowboys had that record and people were running down their QB.

To paraphrase Bill Parcells, "You are what your record says you are."

Until the Cowboys or someone else eliminates them from Superbowl contention, he's good enough.
LOL. Were you here when the Cowboys went on an 11 game win streak in 2016?

"Dak sucks, he cant throw for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns" "Just a bus driver"

So no. This place wouldnt be going nuts. In reality. What you said legitimately happened lol

He makes horrendous decisions? He has 3 INTs. One of the best things he does is decision making he doesn’t put the ball in harms way.

He’s been very good from the pocket.

Hurts' passer rating has increased by +23.1 points inside the pocket from last season, again the second-biggest gain in the league behind Tagovailoa. He's top three in the NFL in completion rate, yards per attempt and passer rating inside the pocket.

At times he’ll see the rush and drop his eyes or break the pocket too early when he can step up but those are minor when you look at the overall improvement.

The Packers did spy him but Hurts beat the spy. Unless the spy is as good an athlete as the QB spying doesn’t work.

RPO passes are considered from the pocket. That's been where the biggest gains are. He still is only asked to read one side of the field. Rarely does he look at more than one receiver or defender at a time.

I was here 5 years before you started, so "yes" I was here. Apparently I needed to be more clear so you could understand because my statement would be referring to other team's fans running down our QB.

the OLine's run blocking has been pretty good.

A solid run game means Hurts doesnt' have to be great, just good enough and limit errors

You guys are just jealous he's not our QB. I would take Jalen in a heart beat over Dak. More upside potential, better accuracy, better runner, and more professional.

He's not as fast as Jackson, but the dude is 6'1", 230 playing weight and built like a muscled fullback. Check out his training videos. He can probably take a beating.

Those who think Hurts isn’t any good are wrong. He’s improved a lot this season. He’s in the MVP race.

He’s a shiny too. Tebow. He couldnt pass against us and used his legs and the runnings to score. He’s literally at the same level as a passer.

Hurts doesn't have to be a good passer. Their run game makes him a good passer. Defenses have to sell out to stop the run. They are that good at running the ball. I keep going back to the Ravens of 2019. Lamar had his best year passing because of this. He's actually a better passer now. But the Ravens aren't running for 200 yards a game, so his success is limited. If you can keep the Eagles to 3rd and long, you'll beat them. Easier said than done.
