Frankly i envisioned safety Malik Hooker having the type of season that vet C.J. Gardner-Johnson is having with the Eagles in just his
first year after being traded from the Saints - Gardner currently is leading the entire NFL in INTs.

Yet another huge impact bonus the Eagles made to boost their team this offseason.

Man that sounds awful.

And you’re probably right. He’ll be back just in time for that somewhat meaningful game
I just looked up previous lacerated kidney injuries in the NFL… I have yet to see one where the player returned that season. Luck, Poyer, Ertz. Keenan Allen all out till following season. some of those injuries though were late in the year..

Got this from a quick search.

Depending if the kidney was repaired, excised (removed), or left to conservative treatment, return to play may vary case-by-case, but full recovery may take up to three weeks, providing there are no complications.
I read 2 to 6 weeks. It’s a serious thing, if he returns too soon and re-injured it they could possibly have to remove it… then his career is over.

SO??? this turn into the eagles zone.. we can talk about the hated rival sheagals during game week in which we play them. ef them beagles seriously,,
Dude, they are just two games ahead of us with a rematch coming up in a few weeks… Get over yourself.
If we win out, and they finish 14 and 3 we win the east because of better record within the NFC East

I remember watching the 1990 World Series. Reds and A's.
Reds left fielder, Eric Davis, in game 4 got a lacerated kidney. I remember it was about 6 weeks later I read where he was able to resume play and any off season training.
Not sure if it was that long because there were no games or just took that long.

That was a good weekend. Was living in South Florida. Watched the Reds win the WS, as it was late. Then got up and left very early Sunday morning, drove 3 1/2 hours to Tampa.
Watched Cowboys beat the Buccs. Noon game. Drove through Plant City not too far from Tampa. As that was where the Reds trained at the time. They already had banners up every where about them beating the A's.
Then drove all the way back. Long day.

You're forgetting Washington.

Yep, saw that. Hope he gets better soon. Never want to hear about injuries no matter what team is involved.

If he goes IR, that's 4 games minimum. The 4th game coming up on their schedule? Dem Boyz on 12/24.

He leads the NFL in INTs this season. This is a huge loss for them.

They 're starting to get banged up. him, jordan davis, goedert. somewhat vulnerable right now. hopefully one of the upcoming teams takes advantage and steals a win. And then we beat them at full strength to overtake the division.

He'll return just in time enough for the Christmas Eve game I'm sure.

Hate to see a player get hurt, but since it's the Eagle I hope they start racking up the injuries like the Cowboys have had and then let's see what type of team they are. The Boys have had numerous BIGTIME injuries that would have crippled an average team, but it's been NEXT MAN UP all season long for this BEAST in the EAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My point is that's a lot of "what if's"

One big ‘what if’ -we win out.

If Philly loses one more game, assuming we are still at 3 losses at that point, we will officially control our own destiny in terms of winning the east. If the Vikings have also lost another game by that point, we will control our destiny for the 1 seed.

I actually expect that, at some point in the next couple weeks, we will control our destiny for #1…Unfortunately though I think we will lose either week 17 or 18…both tough road games… getting our hopes up only to dash them at then end seems to be our team’s MO lol

Yeah, I'm optimistic and on board, but realistically winning out is going to be a tough one. I think conference wins will play a roll.
