These 2022 Dallas Cowboys are special. So special at scoring points that their 199 points scored in the last 5 games has turned out to become the most points scored in a 5-game span in 1 season in team franchise history.

The previous record was 193 points scored in a 5-game span way back in 1968 under the great Coach Tom Landry and a team led by the great "Dandy" Don Meredith, Don Perkins, "Bullet" Bob Hayes, Rayfield Wright, Bob Lilly, Chuck Howley, Jethro Pugh, Cornell Green, Mel Renfro, etc.

Loved the win and that scoring output is impressive. How "special" the 2022 Cowboys are remains to be seen. This isn't a franchise defined by the regular season.

We would have 500 points if we had Mahomes or Burrow lol You know it's coming.

One of those silly stats that means nothing. Why stop at 5 games? Look, I'm all positive about winning and all that, but these random stats that people dig up are getting old. There's some new "statistic" uncovered in just about every game, when the only important ones are the ones that actually count toward something.

This team will go as far as our offense and our offense alone takes us. This is an offense-first team with a porous defense that will give up points. We need to score almost every drive to win games.

This may be one of the hardest to figure Cowboys teams ever. At the beginning of the season it looked like they were going to be one of the lowest scoring teams in franchise history and now they’re scoring points in buckets.
They remind me of the Seahawks in Russell Wilson's first two years. 2012 and 2013.
Where they'd be in a dogfight heading into the 4th quarter so often and then in the 4th they'd pile on turnovers and touchdowns so fast that they'd be winning on the final scoreboard by very large margins in the absolute blink of an eye.

It's funny, Runny. I don't ever remember you complain even 1 time during the previous franchise QB and the many times he and his teams were breaking franchise records.

Or the failed two point conversion with a stupid play by Moore.

Nah, not really mad about that. Sometimes a play call doesn't work. Not really gonna complain about that. The blocked xp was a failure by bones. They had been coming all night, from the same side each time. Why he didn't adjust baffles me.

You think my post has something to do with Dak? He never even crossed my mind. I'm just tired of seeing some arbitrary statistic pop up in every game - not just the Cowboys games - but every game. Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration, but a there's more of them every week. It's like there are guys competing to come up with some obscure statistic, as if they get a bonus every time they do it. "Well, let's see, nothing here for the season. How about in 11 games?...Nope, how about 5 games?...EUREKA!!!!"

By the way, you can stop telling me what you "don't remember" me doing. If you do remember me doing something relevant to the conversation, by all means, let me know. But you have no way of knowing what I talked about when Romo was playing. If they displayed silly stats like this, I'm sure I would've said something.

Stop acting like I'm talking smack about Dak, because I'm not. He was shaky at times tonight, but other times he had some really nice throws, like the TD to Gallup in the corner of the end zone. Nice touch on that ball.

This is very nice. But we have a lot of tough football in front of us.
Hope we can focus.
