what really sucks is these kinds of fans get to enjoy the super bowl victory when the cowboys win it this year.

Keep a list, and remind us which Chicken Littles we need to abuse after that... :D

I've been a Cowboys fan my entire 48 year old life.

48 years, and you've learned nothing about preseason.

Really shallow learning curve there.

I’ll respond to the OP without using some outdated gif/pic. That stuff was funny like 5 years ago. Anyways, about the offense:

No game planning. Garrett does do a good job of finding a few plays that can expose a weakness the defense may have.

No Bryant. He is the speed that is much needed opposite from Austin.

Felix Jones has been on a leash. He has hardly touched the ball in preseason. He will have plenty of touches once the real thing starts.

No deep throws. Romo is yet to unveil those seem route throws he has been working on all of offseason. I also haven’t sent him take any shots deep. Complete a few of those and the defense will back off.

Out of sync. Romo and the WRs are still working out the bugs. Austin and Crayton don’t worry me, i know they will go back and fix their mistakes. Roy Williams does worry me. I really do fear 911 will never work, for whatever reason.

It’s preseason. I understand the concern. I will be worried if we play like this again next week, but i think there is still plenty of hope.

I realize most of the pollyanna folks at Cowboys Zone will chide and heckle me for what I'm saying, but I am so tired of this big numbers, modest success offense. It has no heart, no gusto - no Troy or Emmitt or Michael or Big E or Big Larry. It's got sweetness and style, but puts fear in nobody.

Give me the old days when it was 3rd and 2 and everybody in the stadium knew Emmitt was getting the ball, but it didn't matter. Give me 3rd and 8 when everybody in America knew it was going to be slant to Michael, but it didn't matter.

I've been a Cowboys fan my entire 48 year old life. I stuck with the Cowboys when Jerry fired Tom Landry and many people jumped ship. But I am so tired of this team, year after year of no playoff success. I'm tired of celebrity athletes who haven't earned the right to be called one of the great Cowboys, but don't seem driven to keep getting better.

Maybe Dez Bryant and Sean Lee will breathe new fire into the team, but I don't really think so. Like the U.S. government, I believe the problem is systemic. Something is missing in the culture of the entire Dallas Cowboys organization. I'm not necessarily blaming Jerry, because I like owners who are passionate about winning. But I'm fading as a fan, and might soon fade away unless something signficant changes.

Dude, have you been living in a freaking cave????

We beat the Eagles in the first round of the playoffs last year, so what the hell are you crying about???

And our "mediocre offense" was the #2 ranked offense in the NFL last year, just behind the Saints. Considering we made it to the Divisional round of the playoffs with this mediorce offense, that means only 4 teams advanced further.

So let me guess this straight, you had no idea that we won a playoff game last year and our mediocre offense that was the second best offense in the entire league last year will keep us from advancing further than we got last year even though only 4 teams made it further????..........thats your beef:eek:

I'm sorry to say it, but I've got a bad feeling about this season. In year's past, the offense has looked great in the pre-season. This year has been a disgrace. Our defense is great and will help us win more games than we lose, but our offense is mediocre and will prevent us from making it any further than we went last year. The main person I put the blame on is Jason Garrett. After this season, he'll be gone. But then again, Wade'll probably be gone too if we perform as poorly as I anticipate. I'm thinking 9-7, maybe 10-6, and a very unhappy Jerry Jones.

Not to make any excuses for the OP but he may be suffering from BCFS.

BCFS is a well known psychological stress disorder disease that some cowboy fans have been suffering from since the late 90's. (Battered Cowboy Fan Syndrome). It stems from the promise of a good season only to have the dreams shattered at some point in the year. Aggie fans know what I am talking about.

Relax OP it is only PRE-SEASON! You do not show all your cards in a poker game do you? The Boys will be fine and show some faith in Garrett and co.
The offense is not broken.

By the way, it is the year 2010 Staubach and Aikman are in the HOF it is time to let go... Embrace the future......IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON!!:starspin

The chargers are a superbowl contending team just like we are. It is preseason and we arent going to do allot of game planning and run vanilla everything. We have taken a few blows with atleast 3 starters out . The good news is they are all expected to be back by game one. The dynasty went thru a progression. 7-9 one year, made the playoffs ( after I believe was a 16 yr drought) beat chicago and then got wiped out by detroit. The next year they went on to win the first of 3 superbowls. All the cowboys have heard for 3 years was they couldnt win in december or a playoff game. They did that , relaxed and got waxed by minnesota. This team is poised to make a superbowl run. It all a natural progression. Prossman

So let me get this straight. If I chide stupid comments like this, I am a Pollyanna?

Don't be a boy who cried wolf. Don't leave a window to climb back in as you are closing the door. Go on with your fading and spare us your celebrations when this team is good. They'll be fake as hell. You've already confessed it.
