Ever since the Lesnar fight when I had to download a plugin the sound on my laptop is really scratchy. It was fine through the fight. Ever since it has sucked.

Any ideas what could be causing it?

I would also try after this to delete/ re-install the driver for whatever soundcard hardware you have.

I can't even find it. It was called veetle.

hm, veetle is a great program. My suggestion if you can't is to just do a system restore to before you installed it. might work. if not, your sound card may be dying.

Does the scratchy sound start immediately or does it start a little bit after you start up the computer?

Go to Control Panel, Programs, install/uninstall programs. It should be in there. Just click uninstall and go from there.

That. Or it's in the download section of your memory. Delete it.

It isn't there. It isn't in the program files either.

Any audio on my laptop is scratchy since the Lesnar fight. It was fine right up through the fight.

Does your laptop have a download section where all the files that you download are kept? Because mine does and the veetle plug-in is there. It's approximately 10.5 MBs.

But that is where the program to be installed is, THAT is in the download.

Once extracted and installed it usually asks where to put the whole thing in, if it is a plug in then that is browser based it will be in a part of the Firefox or IE section for plug-ins.

I had a similar issue with my old Dell Vostro. Something was wrong with the sound card, but it would work fine for about 1 minute after start up, but then the scratchyness would set in (probably b/c the computer warmed up and did something). Had to buy an external sound card.

Sounds like a system restore would fix this pretty easily.

Yeah but then don't you change some other things you might not want to?

I dunno I really just work on the individual problems so I never have done it as a cure all.

If this just happened Saturday night I think it would be fine to do a system restore. It just would rest all settings to that specific point in time.

What broswser were you using when you downloaded the plugin?

If you were using Firefox, go to Tools -> Add Ons and it might be there.

I doubt that's what's causing problems with your sound though, define "patchy" or "scratchy"?
