Thought it was pretty obvious he was very upset over the penalty call, and how it hurt the team? and Kitna did not have a bad game at all.....? He led us to a victory until Roy Williams decided to forget that he is a former Pro Bowler and a veteran, not an undrafted rookie free agent out of University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Bryant is only a rookie, he should know his role and accept it. His actions on the sideline were inexcusable.

I disagree with Drew on this one. T.O.type of emotion would be screaming down your teammates(plenty of times in SF), getting in your QB's face(plenty of times, most notably with McNabb) and, coaches on the sidelines(again in SF). Calling them out in the media after the game(every team he has played on). Dez showed some frustration but no to T.O. type emotion.

I see it the same way. The problem with Owens wasn't that he was emotional about not getting the ball, but the way he chose to express it ... going after his offensive coordinator, bad-mouthing his QBs, etc.

Michael Irvin was just as vocal about getting the ball, etc., as Bryant, but nobody sees that as pulling a T.O.

my thoughts exactly. They couldnt stop Witten, but we did.

Well...if you bench Dez then there is a real good shot that they could focus on stopping Witten better.

Pretty hard to stop him when you're doubling the rookie and paying attention to Austin as well.

That sort of situation will open things up for Witten a whole lot. Bench Dez and it allows them to put some focus back on Witten.

I dont agree with benching Dez, but going to him 3 straight times did leave me

It was very clear that he was upset over the penalty. Especially after watching it again. It had nothing to do with getting the ball more.

I wish we had more guys that expected perfection from themselves like Bryant does.

I really didnt like to hear Troy and Joe buck making an assumption about him and calling him a Diva. Was it that hard to see he was upset over the penalty call?

Yes. The thought never even entered my mind to be honest. When is the last time you've seen a receiver that upset with a penalty called against him, as opposed to not getting the ball enough?

I think this was the first glimpse at why so many teams passed on him. Sherman may be huge in keeping him in line.

You people amuse me... I happen to agree 100% with Mr. Pearson. This guy is only a rookie, imagine what will happen next year? Garrett needs to dead this type of behavior before it grows out of hand.

Yea it might be bad if all of our players actually started caring if a penalty was called against them. Maybe if we are not careful we might not have 11 per game called like we were having earlier in the season.

What were we thinking?

The man who first made No. 88 famous around these parts didn’t like what he saw from Dez Bryant on Thanksgiving.

It didn’t necessarily bother Drew Pearson that the rookie receiver didn’t have a catch for the first time this season during the 30-27 loss to the Saints. Bryant’s conduct on the sideline, specifically a couple of rants caught by television cameras, perturbed Pearson.

“I think it was more the T.O.-type emotion,” Pearson said Friday on ESPN 103.3’s Ben and Skin Show, referring to controversial former Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens. “I think that emotion was more individually oriented or individually based.”

Oh I didnt realize so many teams passed on him because they were nervous that he might act passionate and upset when a penalty is called against him.

I bet the Broncos are happy they went with the other receiver now instead of this Dez Bryant headcase.

Dude aren't you in high school? Why are you posting to a cowboys message board on a saturday night? Shouldnt you be out with some slutes or something? This is the time of your life. Now put the picture of Austin down and go find some girls to party with.

Seriously screw off Drew Pearson. He's become nothing more than a sound-byte for the media when they need something derogatory about a current Cowboy.

I remember thinking 'what a mouthy *** that rookie Philip Rivers is'...

Bryant's resentment at being shut out may be just EXACTLY what motivates him to take his game to the next level.

No worries here.

I know he was upset about the penalty but that in my opinion was only part of it. He was yelling for the ball, etc. also.

I think for some of us we saw a red flag with that display. It's something that will either get nipped in the bud, or could get worse. His scouting reports said this was a negative and a concern going into the draft.

At the end of the day I'm glad he is on the team, no question. It's just something to keep an eye on. It reminded me of T.O. as well.

Passion is one thing. Screaming and putting on a tantrum on the sidelines, with Kitna then forcing the ball to him and killing a drive, is another.

Isnt it funny how so much time has been spent on this, yet nobody mentions that on virtually every big play we made, there was Dez Bryant celebrating and offering congrats to other players.

I'm reasonably sure he was more mad about the penalty call than anything else.

As for "immediately trying to get him ball" this is another example of fickle CZ in action again. During the game there must have been dozens of posts about how "Garrett needs to get Bryant the ball!!!! He hasnt caught a pass!!!!"

And the two plays they did try to get him the ball late in the game (screen, the back shoulder fade) they were bad throws by Kitna, not bad routes or drops or even good coverage by the other team. The plays they called for him were called because the team knew what the Saints were doing to him, taking away the intermediate to deeper routes with the safety over the top.

You want to get your best players the ball. I dont really understand how much more he needs to do before some of you "get it" that he is a real threat to score or make a big play antyime he gets his hands on it.
