Which Player Deserves The Most Blame For 6-10 Season?

I would say Roy Williams because he lost us the New Orleans game, and he dropped passes all the time and would have that lil grin/laugh he would do whenever he drops his passes which makes every dallas cowboys fan go crazy :bang2:. But Mike Jenkins did suck it up at the beginning of the year.

Which player should have the most blame for the 6-10 season?

Ball's poor play at free safety, coupled with Jenkins' fall-off at corner, had great repercussions for the defense because things had to be changed to cover for those deficiencies ... and more arose.

Without those problems, this team would have made the playoffs because the offense played well enough overall to get it there with just a little help from the defense. It, however, had too many faults, mostly starting with the head coach, to be a true contender, so that "blame" is turning out to be a blessing.

Ultimately, 6-10 wasn't about the players as much as it was Wade Phillips. Jason Garrett pointed out the culprit when he began to change the "lackadaisical" culture Phillips cultivated.

A few changes in personnel are needed, but a change in direction was needed most of all.

For whatever reason, when I think of the 2010 embarrassment of a team, I think of Alan Ball first. I can't believe the guy ever played football before 2010.

Easily.

His piss poor blocking led to the hit that hurt Romo and if I'm not mistaken the tackles that hurt Dez and Kitna.

That kid just flat out sucks.

This is a totally legitimate thought experiment. If you can pick an MVP than you can certainly pick an LVP. Calm down people.

Which player if replaced by a slightly above average performer would have saved us the most wins? It's a tough one but I"m going with Ball.

Romo. I've learned over the years that everything's his fault  .

If I had to pick one guy, I'd pick Ball. His incompetence made everyone look worse back there. CBs can't play the same way when they don't know if they have help. He was just terrible. I feel like we basically played 10 vs. 11 with Ball back there. Of course, I don't blame this nightmare of a season entirely on him, but I think his horrific play was a huge reason why our defense went from one of the best to one of the worst.

I can't say any one player, but if I had to point to one player, probaby Alan Ball. That said, the entire defense this year was poor. I can't blame the Offense that much, even with Romo out, then Dez, and poor OL play, they still put up points.

That's the coach.

In war you don't lose a battle due to one soldier. He who is in charge, gets the credit and takes the blame.

Wade Phillips is the reason for 6-10.

I have to agree with this opinion. Wade/Jerry set in motion the events as they unfolded.

I agree. It was the WHOLE team and the Coach for sure. but i have a good feeling bout the new HC.

Ball.

He just had absolutely no instincts and outside of a handful of plays down the stretch he might have been the worst safety in the entire league.

Constantly out of position, took horrible angles, made bad reads, and hung our corners out to dry. QBs had no worries against our defense, our secondary couldn't stop you, and we couldn't get to the quarterback.

Newman and Jenkins don't go from pro bowlers to terrible in one season, Ball had a lot to do with that.

Every player on this team, should feel responsible for the lost season. I do remember several games, that they packed it in. Only for the coaching change; it would have been much worse. We need to get rid of some of these players that did not give their best effort and sign and draft players that truly have a passion for the game and the star. Wade Phillips and his coaching staff, including Garrett, are also to blame for not demanding maximum effort out of these guys.
