Thoughts on drafting Greg McElroy?

Kids a winner. And until I saw him on ESPN this morning I didn't know he would fill our requirements for a redhead on the team.

I like him a lot, but I'm not sure where he would fit unless they decided McGee is ready to be a No. 2 (and they cut Kitna) or McGee isn't worth keeping and they need a new No. 3.

I think McElroy's dad works for the team. If he doesn't get picked, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in Dallas a FA when they can eventually sign guys.

No.

They can probably get him after the draft if they want him.

Like the kid, he's smart and he did pretty well at Alabama, but he doesnt have much talent for the NFL.

Had the pleasure of meeting Kitna a couple days ago. Real nice guy. Looks like he's about 28. Can't see him getting cut this year. Maybe we take McElroy in the 7th (or as UDFA at some point), and put him on the PS for a year.
