I think the best the Cowboys can do is 9-7 in 2012, just missing out on a playoff spot.

I think we lose tonight by less than 7. Random thoughts:

  • DeMarcus Ware will not lead the team in sacks
  • Claiborne won't be up to the task until late in the year
  • Jay Raliff will not be himself all year
  • Romo will get some MVP consideration in 2012
  • Felix Jones will lead the team in rushing TDs
  • Witten will not pass Irvin for team lead in receptions
  • Bruce Carter will open some eyes with his play
  • So will Phil Costa
  • Doug Free will be the 2012 Cowboys whipping boy
  • Miles Austin will miss 5 games
  • We will go 3-3 in the NFC East
  • Biggest improvement will be pass defense rank
  • Biggest dissappointment will be lack of cohension on the o-line
  • Team MVP: Tony Romo
  • Team dissapointment: Doug Free and Miles Austin
  • Garrett will be the the number 1 coach on the hot seat for 2013

You don't get MVP consideration with a 9-7 record and missing the playoffs !

If we do end up 9-7 I don't see Garrett being in the hot seat either.

LOL @ Ware not leading the team in sacks, unless of course you're predicting a catastrophic injury. In which case, please refer to:

Agreed

:stop: I don't care if you're a realist or not, this type of post has no place on a day like today.

"Felix Jones will lead the team in rushing TDs"

lol.. that one is my favorite. How about "Felix doesn't make it through the whole year without getting hurt..even though he will be playing second fiddle to Demarco"

Let me add one. Felix will be the starter by mid-season. Whether that's from an injury or just lack of performance on Murray, it will happen!
