I hate to say i told you so, but..

lol, last week's thread about how he wasn't that good, and might not make the team really were a riot.

Makes a whole lot of difference when you don't have two scrubbies throwing to you.

The over reaction always amuses me.

That's the story. I know his family/friends through his high school and that's the rumor. Don't know for certain, though.

Well, that would make sense. Women do have the assets that grown men like that make them act like little boys!

But, for a runt, that dude can really play football with the big boys.

Sometimes it not the size of the dog in the fight, but the fight in the dog. And he seems to have some fight, or at least some has a desire to mix it up with the bigger dogs.

Not fast, but amazing first step. Almost looks like a blur on tv and gets immediate separation. The PI in the end zone against Miami was all first step. He will move the chains for us.

Beasley separated himself from the pack last night. Every time he catches the ball, I cringe a little bit. He is flying around out there among the big bodies trying to decapitate him. Get the ball, get the yards, and get down quickly.

Danny Coale didn't even show practice squad ability last night. Or did I miss something? He did get a holding penalty, I think.

Dez, Miles, Harris, Beasley, Williams, and Armstrong or Green. Barring injury, hat looks to be the pecking order to me right now. Armstrong or Green? Tough choice there. Who ever gets cut, will definitely get picked up by another team.

I'd love for him to be a consistent WR for us but I seriously fear his safety on the field. The guy looks like he weighs 165. Its going to be hard for him to sustain a long NFL career at his size.

When it first happened that was my inclination as well.

Him and Matt Johnson need to learn the difference between a bruise and a break. Toughen up and play thru the bumps and bruises, everyone in the NFL gets them on every play. If you can't handle it then you're not making it in this league.

Can't think of one situation where Johnson had a "bump or bruise" or whatever that the team thought he should have played through.
Maybe you can explain.

I told you folks so.

Many mocked me when I claimed that I was impressed with his game and knew he was something special just based off the first preseason game...

Wow.
1st week semi-goat to 2nd week future HOFer.
lol
I've been watching Cole since his college days and like him lot.
But these seemingly endless threads dedicated specifically to Beasely everytime he catches a few balls vs backups is a bit amusing.

I know Romo is the leader in the clubhouse in this area, but I bet Cole freaking Beasely is runner up for the entire team for most threads in the last two years.

Oh well, I guess I should just enjoy watching the lil guy play--as I always have.

So here are his stats so far in preseason:
6 targets
4 catches
54 yards
1 TD

Not bad at all.
Maybe he'll get to run some with the ones next week just to see how he does vs non-backups. My guess is that he can still get seperation, though not as easily.

Will he be active on game days?

He will be the 5th WR on a team that wants to emphasize the 2-TE set and he is doubtful to play special teams.

I think he does and gets more slot receiver work than most realize. Now I don't see a 6th wr being active which is why Armstrong doesn't have much of a prayer making the team. The only way he could make it is if he was a better STs player than some of the safeties and lbs.

The level of dismissal, impatience, and overall disgust with the bease last year tickled me to no end. "he can't play special teams and can't get on the field so he's gone".. Blah blah blah. Y'all crack me up. There's still some room in the cole train for you half hearted fans. I'll gladly welcome you aboard. I always knew he was going to be a project that would stick because he is shifty and knows how to operate in space. I'm glad some of you are starting to come around. ;-)

I'm driving this bus. ;) Cole was my QB in high school, I know how good he is. I've been clamoring for him to get more attention since he signed with the team.

No one was predicting he wasn't going to make the team, I don't think, I think they were basically saying a guy like Beasley needs to perform in the preseason/training camp. There's kind of a logjam for the 4th 5th spot on the roster.... I was stating it was his spot to lose meaning if he plays ok even if Armstrong,Green,Rodgers or Coale play great Beasley still makes the roster over them...... But if he plays terrible like he did the first game and those other guys play great he probably wouldn't make the roster because he isn't a superstar who automatically makes this roster quiet yet. But after last nights game it's pretty safe to say he is on this team easily and in my opinion going to be ahead of Harris on the depth chart. I still think T-Will is going to get every opportunity to be the 3rd WR so barring him ******** the bed I still think its going to be hard for Beasley to get enough playing time to really contribute without injuries. But who knows maybe you're right and he wins the 3rd spot and is out there a lot. We will see
