Come back next week or the week after when he has a 3 sack game and then everybody will be talking about projections for whether or not he'll break 20 sacks this year. The Giants of all teams know how good D-Ware is, and they weren't going to have Eli dropping back 7 step drops and standing there waiting to get destroyed.

Plus, D-Ware gets tackled by O-linemen more than anybody else in the league and never gets the calls so there's that too.

The pick was a complete fluke, people. Eli threw it right at him. I remember the DWare that could take over a game. He's not that player anymore. Age hits everyone...and I'm not so sure the change to the 4-3 is going to go as swimmingly as some here have suggested.

You could say that about pretty much every INT.. for a pick to even happen, some mistake has to be made by the offense at some point in the play.

The bottom line is, Ware read the play and put himself in a good position and caught the ball when it was thrown at him.

Call it a fluke or whatever you want.. i'll call it an interception and a good play by Ware.

My assumption (I'm going to rewatch the game later today) was that he was getting a lot of attention, thereby taking some off of Selvie.

Against Jax a couple years ago he failed to record a stat.

If that is true, then that might be the reason why David G. said that the Cowboys D weren't really playing that day. Possibly at that time, they expected Ware to set the tone for the enitre defense.

Giants pretty much had no running game and resorted to just airing it out. Tackle stats are pretty meh. For a pass rushing end, I'd look at pressures, hurries and sacks.

That being said, I'm not the biggest Ware fan. Huge talent but always seem to make boneheaded offsides penalties and usually shrinks in the big situations. His stats are there but never seems to make a huge impact.

To me of fluke is something that just randomly happens without a player contributing in anyway. I.e. the ball bounces off another players foot directly into his hands. What I saw, and have re-watched a few times was Ware jump in the air reach out with one hand and a foot and catch the ball Which was about 2 - 3 Feet away from his body.

Look the Giants had two major game plans last night.

1. was do not in any way allow is Dez Bryant to beat you.

2. do not in any way allow DeMarcus Ware to beat you.

It was the same old same old. Ware gets the push from the outside and he forces Eli to step up in the pocket. Difference was this time when he stepped up there was also pressure in the middle. That's why you saw quite a few hurried and errant passes.

If i was Garrett i would show the video of Ware getting tackled repeatedly to the refs before every game on my ipad, that was just ridiculous.

Yes it is. How its not called is beyond me. It happened to Wilbur once also.

Well maybe that's where you and I differ. I don't look it pressures hurries and sacks. I look at the film and look for things like I look at can he beat his man 1 on 1, can he draw a double-team, and can he make the quarterback move from his spot so that other players can make plays. That to me is a sign of a disruptive player forcing another team to make adjustments to their game plan.

The facts are every offense of coordinator in the league will tell you face-to-face when we are playing the Dallas Cowboys we must first and foremost account for DeMarcus Ware Or he could easily disrupt our whole game plan. There's only about six guys in the league that they can say that about.

Put down the stat sheets, quit reading the articles & start recording the games. Watch the game and rewatch the game. Focus on a certain player. Watch what he does on every single snap. That's the best way to judge a player. You know why that is a fact? Because that's how the pros and experts do it. They watch the film and rewatch the film. They do it individually, they do it as a team they do it On themselves and they do it on each other. That film will show you everything.

Stats will and can be very misleading. But the film will never ever ever lie as long as you know what you were watching.

I don't recall as many holds without getting penalties as last nights game. I don't normally harp on the refs missing calls as it happens every game for both teams...but man alive.

There were a couple of times where Ware was held and rode down to the grown like someone was roping a calf.
I also saw an obvious hold on Wilbur...actually the only time I remember seeing him and he is getting mauled.

I want someone to do an unofficial count of how many times a game the other team gets away with holding Ware. Srs

Ware had several pressures. Not bad for a guy who was tripled teamed most of the game. The other D-lineman had better had a good game, Ware was taking on half of the blockers.

I thought he was dominant early in the game, pressure all over the place.

Ware, besides getting tackled, was blowing up and disrupting the line plenty... Can't wait for Spencer...

Yes, a good, heads up play by Ware, and a lot of Pressure from the D on Eli caused that turnover...I was extremely happy with how the Defense played...
