I'm watching Miike and Mike and they are both defending him and calling out those who want to bash him in a 48 pt performance. In some weird way, I think Romo gained a lot of national respect yesterday. Greenberg said if he was on the Bengals he'd pick the Bengals to go to the super bowl.

Andy Dalton is SO holding them back.

It's hard to hate on him too much. I mean, he was just flat out brilliant yesterday. He was playing like his hair was on fire. The mistake he made was costly, but still.

You watch him just tear it up all afternoon and lose then you watch the 49ers just roll the Texans last night while Kaepernick does absolutely nothing (he's brought a big ol' bag of nothing this year save for one game).

I was hearing Greeny defend Tony Romo and that is the way I feel too. I just feel really bad for Tony because he honestly deserves better. He is a good guy and he is going to get ripped all week long for having a performance that I believe no other QB aside from Peyton Manning could have had.

Sometimes I just think he is the unluckiest quarterback in the NFL. He gets tripped by Tyron Smith and has Ron Leary flashes in his face just as he is releasing the ball. I don't think it was a bad decision at all, It was just that he couldn't get anything on the throw and then the LB made a great play on the ball(something we rarely see from one of our LBs btw).

Man you are on with that one. Schaub was a funky, fabulous disaster without an insurance plan. He served up cupcakes to the 49ers and they ate it right up. How the hell do you throw so many pick 6's in consecutive games? Houston is in desperate trouble with this fella right now...his confidence is in the basement looking for cheese. Kubiak might soon have no alternative but to park him on the pine for a while. Yikes!

I like how a lot of people are defending Romo in the media. I think anyone who is a serious observer of the game of football can recognize that this guy played one of the best games of football a QB has ever played last night. He outplayed Peyton Manning, his defense just didn't deliver.

Romo deserved the love after yesterday's performance.

Both he and Peyton threw a pick yesterday, just so happens one happend late in the game and of course it was Romo who threw it. It doesn't change the fact that the offense scored 48 points and he threw five TD's. That performance beats 30 other teams.

The challenge will be for Romo to replicate (to a reasonable degree) next week. No let downs, no late fourth quarter brainfarts, no excuses. He showed that he can be the gunslinger and for the most part protect the ball, now go tear up Washington.

The way I see it is I thought we'd lose yesterday coming in. I was hoping not to get embarrassed.

We did not.

No moral victories but if the goal is to get better each week and peak in December.. . It's hard not to be encouraged by some things yesterday.

Most notably what the offense can do when Romo is healthy enough to throw deep.

You also have to like where one could project Twill to be in 2 months. Props to the organization playing him early and letting him learn on the fly. If it was up to this fan base he'd be a game day inactive.

We will win this division and host a playoff game. And what team wants to play these Cowboys?

I tell you what, and I didn't realize it live, but it was a GREAT athletic play by the LB. I've heard several people call it one of the best plays of the season so far. Hats off to the guy.

It was definitely a great play by the LB. And maybe I'm on crack, but I'm pretty sure that Escobar got shoved as he came out of his break, but that might have been me just hoping for a flag on the play.

He played a magnificent game. Up until the point he threw it all away.

I still can't believe the three damn passes in a row attempt when the Cowboys had 1st and goal in the second quarter.. Right AFTER Murray ran for about 9 yds to get that damn first.. Show some sack Coaches. Geeze. Why ? Why pass then? Grrr... I swear, just lost any ounce of respect for this coaching staff right then and there...

Tony played a great game overall. He deserves a lot of credit. His history (and there is a lot of it) is what is generating some heat. I am happy with the way he played yesterday.

Having said that, my confidence in him for big games and stepping up in crunch time is.............well.........not that great. He hasn't earned my confidence in that area at all.

Nevermind the complete pushout/shove that the Bronco's defensive player did on Witten in the endzone. WITH the ref looking right at it? How is that not called. ? No big, they scored anyhow, but, wow.

Romo earned my respect yesterday. I have always thought him to be a good QB with demons when the moment comes around but he thoroughly outplayed the best QB in NFL history yesterday and got out of some situations that make you go 'wow'. I hope he is able to grow more from this, shut out all the haters and go out and play ball. Every QB in this league that has played more than 5 seasons has thrown a late game INT with the game on the line. Brady just did it yesterday as well.
