Jason Garrett on Chip Kelly's Oregon teams dominating Monte Kiffin at USC: "I don't know that that has a whole lot of relevance."

Garrett said Randle not playing in 1st 5 games "had a lot to do w/ numbers…wasn't any reflection on Joseph not doing things the right way."

Jason Garrett on LT Tyron Smith: "The sky is the limit for him. Talk about a guy that goes about it the right way, he has a lot of ability."

Did #Cowboys get a chance to sit down with Ratliff? Garrett: "It's an ongoing process. We'll continue to have those discussions this week."

Chip Kelly

Chip Kelly: "I didnt take the job b/c I thought my offense would work in the NFL. I took a job that I felt...was the right opp. for me."

Chip Kelly on Monte Kiffin: "When you turn the tape on, what he's doing in Dallas is different than what he was doing at SC.

Chip Kelly on Tony Romo: "You kind of sit there and get mesmerized watching him play the position. ... He's as good as we'll face."

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez 1h
Chip Kelly on Romo: 'If you’re just a fan of quarterback play, you kind of sit there and get mesmerized watching him play the position.'

Yup, he is a true enigma if I ever saw one.

That's about the opposite of that that comment from Kelly actually said, by the way.

Also, Tony Romo is not an enigma. But keep digging. :)

Yes, I realize that.. I was making a spin off of a quote. And yes, he is very much an enigma at the QB position...why do you think the Cowboys fan base is split on him?

I don't think what happened in college has much to do with what happens in the Pros Kelly Oregon offense put up a ton of points on every team they faced putting up over 40 points in 11 out of 13 games. This is a different game.

I thought Kelly was talking about Cowboy fans when he mentioned being an enigma.

Tony putting up 14 TD to only 3 ints ranking only behind Peyton and yet his ability as a QB comes into question? lol..... Only in Dallas.

because we have a number of STUPID fans that cannot grasp the simple fact that Romo is at the least a top 10 QB.

But then you are the last person who would ever admit it, Your entire life is based on hating Romo. should he win a SB and be the MVP you would basically have to kill yourself

Because all of them are desperate for an postseason victory, or even a postseason game, and half of them can't differentiate between obviously bad pass defense and obviously good QB play for whatever logic-defying reason.

Right.. only the Romo lovers know what they are talking about. Everyone else is dumb. Got ya..

Stopping Manning's offense is something no one has done....so I am not sure that it's a big deal that Kiffin made the statement that he did. No matter what the coaches call from the sidelines, the QB has the last move and when you are a vet like Manning, you are going to win that battle way more often than not. Heck, it was the same for Romo against the Denver defense...they never really had a clue on how to stop us....and got a little lucky at the end with the pick.

On most topics, I'd agree, this would sound silly to say an argument is that one-sided. But on this topic, that's exactly the case.

Because part of the fan base is ignorant and stupid?

Yep. Our defense with Carter and Lee looks more like what he faced when he played Bama.
