While admiring his comments about Romo, I'm apalled about what Mike said about Dallas having a personal vendetta against him. I think he's a sterling example of one of those who felt entitled to more than what he deserved and ultimately unwittingly caused his team to underachieve. He's simply a peckerhead, IMHO.

Define peckerhead. If that's a guy that flashes some effort in his rookie year, then disappears until his contract year (so that he can coast and avoid injury), then I agree. That's a syndrome seen all too often in the pros. Jimmy wouldn't tolerate it, and Jerry should remember that.

Jenkins was playing with one shoulder in 2011 and was the best CB on the team despite injuries. What did cowboys do? Signed Carr and traded up for Mo. He was demoted to 3rd CB without competition and left without a contract one year later.

Mike Jenkins is a solid CB and he was light year better than Mo at the same stage of their career.

False, Mo has not done anything close to what Jenkins did in Dallas yet. Claiborne should be a lot better by now and he seems to be regressing.

Please inform me on what it is Jenkins "did" in Dallas. Had one good year and then regressed into trash level cornerback play?

If I have to explain why Jenkins was a better CB here in Dallas than Mo has been up this point, I would be wasting my time. It is pretty obvious, to me anyways.

I am not saying Mike was a great corner and glad he is gone but he was better than Mo(so far).

Morris Claiborne is currently 3rd on the depth chart.

.... didnt we trade a 1st and third??

I always said we shouldve kept Jenkins.

Memories are short around here. I can't get over his ole plays where he avoided making tackles.

You know it's funny. in the Claiborne all22 thread we had posters saying Claiborne is a cover corner who shouldn't have to be worried about tackling because that's the job of the front 7. I'm willing to bet these same posters were grilling Jenkins for his "business" decisions

I went to LSU and followed Claiborne in the college game. He avoided tackling at LSU, and he does the same in Dallas. That is why he is the 3rd corner on this roster. If he doesn't pick up his game, he could find himself playing elsewhere when his contract is up.

BTW, Jenkins isn't soft and he played a whole season with aessed up shoulder. This is the difference when perception takes precedence over reality....

I wonder what he means by personal vendetta.

Our former players always have something to say about the cowboys.

I don't really think the "personal vendetta" he has is towards any one thing or person. I think it is personal to him to show the Cowboys that he is better than he was given credit for or was willing to be paid for. In other words I think he want's to flourish so someone over in Dallas says..Wow, we should of kept him. That's how I read it anyways.

Aint Jenkins the guy that jumped out of the way of the RB in that Green Bay blowout game that got Wade fired? Didnt Collinsworth say something like "thats just spitting in Wade's face" or something like that?

I have seen 9 yr old girls playing soccer with more balls than him.

You've seen 9 year old girls play an entire season of NFL football with a shoulder seperated multiple times? A shoulder he couldn't even lift above his head? Going up against 250 to 350 lb men every week?

Impressive.. i have yet to see these 9 year old girls.

You don't want to either. They look like this, but only they're 9. Don't get it twisted though, they're still jacked.

On a side note, can we sign this lady to a contract? She can probably out bench all of our line men combined.

Oakland CB Mike Jenkins: "My last few years in Dallas had nothing to do w/ swagger. It was more of a personal vendetta that was going on."

He said there was a personal vendetta his last few years in Dallas. That basically implies that someone within the organization had a personal vendetta against him. That's how I read it anyway lol

Often injured very average tackler. Had one good year and coasted. I bet $5 he gets hurt during the game tomorrow.

What did tell you. That's one of the big reasons you are not a Cowboy anymore Mike "porcelain" Jenkins.

His "business decision" was all she wrote as far as I am concerned. I thought that was lame as all hell.

Cornerbacks in the NFL do that every week.. Mo does it alot, and Deion did it every game.

Hats off to Mike Jenkins for the game he played yesterday. Sad to see him have to leave the game. He wanted it more than anyone and it showed.
