Maybe, or it could be be that one of the most popular teams of the boards members isn't really doing much, so the natural rivalry isn't there this year.

The Rockets might struggle in the playoffs. They aren't very good on D and they launch too many 3's. If Harden is cold, they have little chance to win in that game. I wasn't for Rondo at the time but he could have been the missing piece. I think that was a mistake not getting him looking back

Mavs fan here. But unfortunately I dont see us getting out of the 1st round. Highest seed we can probably get is 6.
That would put us against Portland or LA Clippers. Not a chance there.

I think it's more of the fact that the NBA season doesn't really start till the playoffs for many. On the other hand, the 4 of the most popular teams on this board, Mavs, Celts, Bulls and Lakers are not having great years so there is that.

I really thought Golden State would do more this year. They have a ton of talent over there. They lack something there. You look at their roster and it seems like they should be better.

Yeah probably not. Still should be a fun series - two of the highest-scoring teams in the NBA. Every game would be 186-175.

That Golden St. rostere is nice. Alot of talent with Curry, Thompson, Iggy, Barnes, etc.
But they are a half game better than the Mavs in the standings. I'd love to have the young talent they have.
