theyre just setting up for "i never expected this team to be that good this year" and "it will take 3 years to build this defense" excuses in the next off-season

sad that cowboy fans have to lower their expectations to the point of already preparing for the excuses for yet another failed season before the season has even begun

even in year 4 they cant go on the record as expecting 11-5 and playoff wins

and by then Romo will be gone and it will be "how can you expect ginger to win until we find a qb"

3-13 wins over jax, Houston and once over the giants. I fear it's gonna be a long year.

Please... Oh please come back and take your serving of crow when the season wraps up. Okay? Have a nice day.

Dude, you are OVER REACTING to a signing of a WR that does 1 single route. He has and will be been owned by the Cowboys. You're entire thread is based on your fear of the DeShean Jackson Signing. I'm amazed you have gone scared like this. Just in case you forgot the FA signing period is not over. The draft has not started yet. Any late signings or college FA signings have not been made. Training camp has not started. Injuries have not been announced. This bs is about the Jackson deal. I will submit a prediction much closer to the season. Dallas will win the East.

You realize my 7-9 prediction is a lot better than what most people are posting in here? Why are you mad at me?

A surprising 11-5. The CowboysZone returns to it's old form where majority of fans cheer the Dallas Cowboys. Then it's on to the Cowboys hosting a WC game and winning that too. Uh oh. Cowboys squeek a divisional round win out on on the road and lose a nail biter in the Championship game.

There is a difference between a realist's "wishful thinking" and a glass-is-half-full fan's "wishful thinking". ;)

I hope Dallas is 11-5, I tend to be a half glass full person and fan. Right now we finished last season 8-8 and have not been able to do much in terms of addition to the team but we did lose some players. Those may be good moves but short term may hurt. My hope is we come out of the draft with some guys who can come in and have a major impact to be able to get some guys in FA that help give us depth but until then we are an 8-8 team.

How did we draw such a hard schedule anyhow? We played the Seahawks the yr before last and now have to play them again jeesh.
At best im thinking 8-8
Realistically though maybe 1 or 2 wins less then that.

With the NFC West, it's just time to play them. Every 3 years. We have to play the Saints because they keep (rather annoyingly) lining up their division finish with us. Bears too. Everything else, it's just our time to play them.

I will give you two.

1. Healthy Romo 9-7
2. Limited Romo (back) 6-10

8-8 after starting 8-5. We have a chance to win the division on the final Sunday night but Romo throws a late INT after the defence gives up a 35 point lead. Romo is blamed, Garrett smiles and says Romo audibled out of his play and extremecowboyszone.com explodes in a fiery ball.

With the roster as is ill say 7 wins. Still a lot of offseason left though. 3 months from now I could see myself saying 10 wins.

The only thing left is the draft and I don't think that there's anyone in the draft that can get you from 7 wins to 10. The only exception is a qb but the Cowboys aren't in the market for one.

The 4-3 will be in its 2nd year, so we should be able to avoid many of the "running around looking lost" problems we had last year. The offense should be good once again, and the special teams should be improved with our kick returner being healthy and all of those quality draft picks Jerry will be bringing in.

I'm going to go with 9-7.

It's kinda easy to say that but when you look at the teams we play, where are the 9 wins going to come from.

9-7 with Romo if he plays all 16 games

4-12 without Romo if he stays injured

8-8. Whoever is above .500 we will lose and whoever is below .500 we will win. Lets hope and pray most of these teams struggle this yr and are below .500 bc we know this jg led team doesnt beat abover average teams

Given we should have been at least 10-6 the last three years if our coach could manage a clock at all and the fact that we have a worse roster now, I expect us to be 6 - 10. We will have 8-8 talent and Garrett will blow his usual games with bad clock management leading to 6 - 10.
