This just in........water is wet.
If this was common knowledge...that is news to me. But in general terms...guys stay in shape year round. They do not use training camp to get in shape like it was in the e70s, 80s, 90s. So when the coaches finally get there hands on them....they have them hitting and grinding and working on TOP of all the wory they put in on their own. And perhaps the body finally says "I cannot take anymore"?

Ran into someone that was on the team last year. Started a conversation. Said he had played for several teams. I wont mention who he is with right now. Told me the reason the cowboys have all these injuries....was due to over training. Said he never played for a team that takes strength and conditioning this serious. He mentioned miles in particular as someone that over trains. Just relaying what he said. Have at it.

I believe that about Austin. Many people were claiming the opposite. There were posts that said he didn't take training seriously; however, that is the opposite of what I've heard which was that they had to work to get Austin to back off of the weight training.

Having said the above, they trained extremely hard back when Jimmy was the coach and didn't have a lot of injury issues.

It would be nice to know who said it. Why would the player care if you posted it. It's not as is the Cowboys organization is going to believe a random fan on a message board.

I looked at last years rosters, players that had been with several teams previously (and have signed somewhere else this offseason or before). My guess it's either Ernie Sims or Will Allen. Or another I might have missed (which is prob true). Anyways, there isn't a long list of players that fit that criteria.

Me thinks Jason Hatcher

Wouldn't be surprised.

Bailey is a longtime vet here and I don't think he would be the type to make something like this up just for attention (as he has already stated).

Anyway, I'll bet the remainder of this thread will be dedicated to figuring out who the player is through process of elimination lol.

Players say coaches suck and coaches say players suck. MY REASON players are getting hurt is that they are playing football.

IMO, some major changes in their training and conditioning program are needed. Last season was bad, but the year before was tough too. Remember that Rob fans used it as an excuse for him. I am not going to say what changes are needed. I don't know and I am not going to pretend that I do. The end result is that there are too many injuries and the problem needs addressed. I would guess that the time with the players has decreased and the program needs to be changed to reflect that.

If Dallas was actually training too hard it seems like the injuries would have decreased a bit when the new restrictions came out in the new CBA.
