Same could be said for a number of people. Insert any NFL player with at least 3 or 4 seasons.

Ya, rich people in the sports world are extremely rich for the most part. Point was the leader of our country makes half a mil.

its not phony outrage here. I have zero outrage. I just see a good mob that might can oust his nfl destroying rear. So im jumping on the bandwagon LOL

He said he's not resigning. The owners seem in his corner. I don't know how you get him out of there.

If this won't get him out I'm not sure what would. The disconnect between what the fans feel and the owners feel is astounding.

I heard he got blasted with a question in his conference. A reporter asked him(from what I was told), "When you suspended Sean Payton for 1 year, you said ignorance isn't an excuse. So does this mean you'll resign?"

I also heard on a radio how they we're laughing about how a reporter asked Goodell, "Do you have all 32 owners votes to stay"? And they said Goodell's response should've been "right now it's 17-15 in my favor, i'm still here", they had me cracking up lol.

I agree. He's dug his heels in about resigning despite the apparent lies he's told & I have yet to read a single owner question him. Just support.

It's pretty ridiculous that some seem to be blaming Goodell for these thugs beating their wives and kids.

He's not being blamed for that. Of course he is not to blame for what those guys do.

Most people think he lied about not knowing about having seen the elevator video. He claimed he did not. Most think he is lying.

Sponsors leaving instead of just threats. That would probably do it. Will it happen? I would say it's possible, depending on what else shakes out.

Well they did hire some ex FBI or CIA big wig (I think?) to conduct some type of investigation to see how this all shakes out but with the owners so firmly behind him I think he stays,

I myself think he comes across as an arrogant puppet for the owners.

I have serious doubts that it will be an impartial inquiry, the guy they hired is Robert Mueller(ex FBI by the way) who is a partner with a lawfirm that frequently represents the NFL and then to top it off the two people that are overseeing the investigation are Mara & Rooney.

It sounded very suspicious when I heard that. He will probably find nothing!

+1. I have seen 10 times more criticism of Goodell in the media that I have of Ray Rice himself.

Mueller held one of the highest law enforcement offices in the land. If we can't trust him to investigate the NFL, we got bigger problems.

It's not him...Its the idea that they have him AND two NFL Team owners doing an Independent investigation.

Why do they need the two NFL owners doing an independent investigation of the NFL when they are owners of NFL teams and make their living with the NFL.

Seems like a conflict of interest.

You want an independent investigation of the NFL...Stick with the FBI guy and he can find a couple of people outside the NFL to help if need be.

The NFL and Goodells part in this whole issue should not be swiped away just by the idea that He did not do the beatings.

Of course he did not do the beatings and nobody has said he did.

He is however in Charge of protecting the NFLs image and doling out penalties.

Not give out 2 games for knocking a woman out, turn around and give 6 games for drugs, turn back around and make a new set of rules for 6 games minimum for first offense in domestic abuse (while sticking with the 2 games for rice), then turn around and suspend indefinitely after the video surfaces. Is it two games, 6 games or indefinitely? Make up the mind goodell.

Furthermore he got KILLED in that PC

TMZ: “Mr. Commissioner, we found out by one phone call. You guys have a whole legal department. Can you explain that? We found out by just one phone call.”

Goodell: “I can’t explain how you got the information.”

Did goodell do the beatings...Nope.

But he is in charge of protecting the image of the NFL and doling out punishments in order to protect the NFL.

I don't buy the guy's "we just made 1 phone call" routine. Their own Executive Producer said in an interview "this is one of the most difficult stories we've ever worked on ... and securing this tape was extremely difficult" (link below)

Fact is TMZ bribed someone for the tape, which is fine because they are a news organization, but the NFL cannot operate with the same tactics. If they use evidence illegally obtained, they open themselves up to a truckload of liability.

Not a fan go Goodell.

But he should lose his job because he handled these incidents wrong.

Maybe he thought that because he has with ray forever and still married him after that.. He left the personal issue to be handled by the two parties involved.
