Great stats for him, sadly the stat that keeps coming up, is fumbles. Coughed one up in FG range last night, that might have changed the outcome of the game. Keyword: Might.

Yet we pass the ball on 2nd and 3 for three consecutive plays after Murray just had a fairly easy 7 yard gain. Keep giving him the ball, man.

He and Harris apparently lead in fumbles for non-QBs. Murray also leads all players in fumbles lost. I don't think these stats are updated for Monday night's game.

He just needed to know when to go down there, another yard isn't going to win the game, a fumble there could be the difference between winning and losing.

The fumbling issue is an easy fix.

1.don't fight for unnecessary yards like he did. Sure, punish one guy, but don't take on a group.

2. Carry the ball high and tight. And when you start to go down, use your free hand to grab your ball carrying WRIST. This gives the ball the least exposure and the most secure grip.

Easy fixes that the coaches should have already beaten into his head. It's disappointing that this simple fix hasn't been addressed.

Still leads the league in lost fumbles as well........................................really not starting to care how many yards butterfinger has now.

And if he wants $8 million a year, I laugh in his face.................I don't care if he has 2000 yards, fumbling almost every freaking game just cant be tolerated, especially at the freaking 5 yard line.

His fumble hurt just as much as Dez not holding on to that TD pass. Both plays were crucial that would have led to more points. Those guys will fix it but last night wasn't the night for that to happen. We need those division games.

just like TIKI BARBER did - after years of fumbling they taught him to carry the high an tight -

Its not just once or twice with Murray, he puts the ball on the ground almost every game. I think he even fumbled once against the Giants but it went out of bounds.

Its not easy for him, he KEEPS FUMBLING IT!! This is who he is and it wont change one bit and has not all year

You gotta take the good with the bad when it comes to Murray. He runs to darkness a lot. Even runs right into his own blockers when he has a lane to the right or left. Carries the ball with one arm in heavy traffic, has critical fumbles, etc. He probably leads the league in fumbles. Those can cost you games. Last nights fumble really hurt us. I think he is talented but just not very bright. Seems like he never learns.

With Marshal Lynch and Leshawn McCoy both probably being released after this season due to their high salaries, I sure would think about making a switch at running back.

Just saying I am having second thoughs about giving butterfingers a long term deal.
