The fake punt was a good call. It was wide open. We were out coached there and just got lucky he dropped it.

True but the risk reward was too high. The risk you give it to your opponent well within FG range as long as they do not turn it over, the reward was 1st down. Too much momentum and the game would go your opponent.

You know Davis if you did not want to get beat that bad, maybe you should have played better, instead you are using up energy defending your team when you could have used it to stop Dallas. lol

Did he even play? I thought he sat it out. ;)

that was an idiotic call. the risk/reward of getting a first down compared to turning the ball over at the 20 makes it an idiotic call.

I'm not upset over your post. I think it's foolish that so many people legitimately think teams with nothing to play for, just fold up shop and pack it in..it doesn't work that way...as a matter of fact, it's the exact opposite

Something tells me that the next team that plays Indy is likely to get a much more dedicated and focused effort than what was put forth yesterday. Of course, it'll help that some of the walking wounded are likely to return and contribute much more generously than those 3 backups that played on their OL yesterday. They're a better team than that -- perhaps not championship caliber just yet but if Luck gets better support next year, it'll surely help. The Cowboys are a fired up bunch right now. Let's hope they maintain that throughout the playoffs. It's been a long time coming, so that should help them sustain it. The culture has obviously taken a turn for the better.

Was Seattle 33 points better last year against Denver? No. But who cares. The end result is what matters. Sour grapes is what this is.

I'm still in shock of what i witnessed yesterday, this team got some dog in them. When was the last time if ever Luck was benched for poor performance?

I don't think the benching had much to do at all with Luck's performance, it was just a matter of not risking an injury to him with a game that they all but lost anyway, and they already have the division locked up. Why risk keeping him out there if they're just gonna lose anyway?

Was Luck's performance really that terrible on Sunday and therefore the catalyst for sitting him? No, I don't think so. I can't remember how many well-thrown balls that the Colts dropped, but if even one of those early drops are completed (like the drop on the fake punt), things could be a lot different.

Its about matchups and dictating to the other team.

Good teams are good because they don't just attack you one way.

The Colts are an excellent team.

But they throw the ball with Luck and do not run the ball.

They also have some personnel issues on defense.

They did not tackle very well..

and they had penalties at crucial times in the game.

That's not Andrew Luck's area of responsibility.

They will not have to play Dallas but once this year.

Its not something I would worry about.

The Colts need to worry about Pittsburgh, Denver and New England.

Not us.
