Man if the players were thinking as much about playing Green Bay in two weeks as many on this board, we'd be in big trouble. Detroit game is going to be a huge dogfight. You don't average giving up 69 yards rushing per game all year with smoke and mirrors. And if we don't control time of possession running the ball, that is all the more opportunities for Megatron against our secondary. Let's win this game first. Bad karma to talk about the next one...

Please define karma using examples in the real world. Then link this mythical karma to the barco-lounger set talking about a game in two weeks that might, or might not happen at all for the Dallas Cowboys.

Seriously, the fans on this site have zero to do with the results on the field on ANY game day.

But in the event you are not convinced, then I suggest you pick up a gris gris at the Trick Doctor on VooDooRUs.com

Many assume we're going to get past Detroit but the Cowboys are 7-11 vs the Lions since 81. They've given the Cowboys a lot of trouble over the years. Even during the early 90's the Cowboys were 1-3 against them.

There was no running back that EVER won the season rushing title and his team win the Super Bowl that same year.

Until Emmitt did it three times in four seasons.

Yesterday was a song by Paul McCartney, and a place in time that has no influence on tomorrow. Or two days after tomorrow.

Something about those uniforms--too close to ours. We didn't rip them off did we?

Detroit was around first. But the Cowboys uniforms aren't any closer to those of the Lions than Seattle's are to Philly's. Would you trade the Cowboys' uni for any other?

Don't think the Cowboys take their cues from Zone threads. While it's cool to look ahead and all of that this could be much ado about nothing if the season ends on Sunday...

There's some similarities with the gray pants/helmet the Cowboys may have gotten that idea from them.

Did someone make thread that states to not talk about football? Last I heard, this is a message board where pretty much anything related to the Cowboys is fair game to talk about as long as rules aren't broken. I don't see anything wrong with looking ahead to GB or Seattle. Now if the team did that, it's a different story but as fans, we can pretty much talk about whatever we want. If you don't like it, don't read it. Don't need to get the panties in a wad about it...

Seriously the fans who look ahead with a team making its first appearance in the playoffs in 5 years are fools.

Why call people fools for looking ahead, it's a natural human thing to do. No matter what the subject is.
We know the players aren't lookng ahead, and that's important. But anyone else as fans who are, no problem.

The ones who do know the most important game is get to be played. If one chooses not to, then don't call people fools who does.

Do you look at mock drafts, if so, then you are looking ahead. Why not wait until the actual draft. Just one example of looking ahead.

I'm looking forward to playing an AFC team in February this year. Sure beats looking ahead to draft in mid 1st round like recent past

I just don't like talking about the offseason too much when we have a playoff game in a few days. It's depressing.....

The past can have some influence on the present if there's been a pattern. Even during the Cowboys 13-3 07 season the Lions gave them a real battle in which the Cowboys won in the closing minute. A couple of teams can historically have tough games. The Lions have given the Cowboys a lot of trouble over the years but the Cowboys have won some of those games. Based on the fact the Lions are #1 vs the run and #2 overall defensively and the fact Murray and the running game has looked a little sluggish the past few weeks points to a tough game.

So then, using your theory that yesterday is meaningful, let's examine the truth.

From this article:

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/cowboys-lions-wild-card-three-reasons-dallas-will-win-nfl-postseason-coy-wire-010115?cmpid=tsmfb:fscom:nflonfox

The Detroit Lions have never beaten a team with a winning record on the road with Matthew Stafford as their starting quarterback (0-17 against teams above .500). Yes, this is true. Another note of intrigue is that only one of the Lions' 11 wins this season has come against a team that currently has a winning record.

By your position then, Dallas should walk over these guys. You sticking with your take on the meaning of history here?

Of course there is no scientific evidence of Karma and I'm sure that it's purely coincidence, but Larry Warford will mostly likely miss the game due to injury. Whjat was the injury?

"I think I got stepped on," he said. "Like, obviously he didn't meant to do it. I was trying to stunt, and the guy I was trying to pass off to (Cornelius Lucas) ended up shooting back to the B-gap. He was trying to skinny through a little gap there, and I think he stepped on my knee, and kind of went in and down."

Suh stepping on Rodgers had no bearing on Warford being stepped on, but it is ironic how things work out sometimes.... ;)
