I actually agree with this, but the point i was making is that since he is a named player, we probably won't look at him.

I do not even have an issue with looking at no names. It all comes down to fit to me.

Some are chosen for fit, others are chosen because we think the "might fit" but since they are cheap we overlook it.

I have a problem with excluding/writing off named players because they *might* be too pricey, even if they are the perfect fit.

Hardy is the only remaining potential difference maker on that list. Everyone else fills in for a player lost to keep the status quo..

I would say Wilfork still has some life left in him, maybe a season or two. Not a big impact player but he's going to plug the middle and would do nicely next to Crawford, DLaw, and Hardy me thinks....:)

Get used to it because cost comes first these days. By choice or circumstance. It does not matter.

What incentive would Wilfork have to sign in Dallas? We are not paying. He has no ties to this staff. He is not even a scheme fit. Maybe the lure of working with Jedi Marinelli?

Spikes would be great if they knew they weren't bringing back McClain. He's an absolute bruiser, you'd have to get him off the field on 3rd downs though.

Exactly what I was thinking. Surprised Spikes' name hasn't come up much on this board. Put him in the middle and bump Lee to the outside along with Hitchens and I'd feel great about our starting LBs.

Crabtree is a possession receiver. I dont want to spend the money on a possession receiver. You can find them anywhere in the draft.

Absolutely. That is really all there is to say.

But I called it a few days ago, I bet we get Biermann. I can feel it in my bones.

Exactly. He does not block, he does not do anything on special teams.

He is not better than Williams.

DE Greg Hardy, CB Patrick Robinson, and MLB Rolando McClain

If you give me Hardy, I am satisfied. At least I have the comfort we added a player capable of starting and making an impact. We improved somewhere on this roster prior to the draft.

That is just really all it comes down to. Sad, but that signing would make me feel good about everything else and make be begin to understand that there indeed is a plan.

Make or break. It should not be that way. But it pretty much is.

Kroy. Biermann.

Say it a few times, let it roll off your tongues.

Jermaine Gresham would be a good pickup for a good price. Certainly can block better than Escobar.
