If they truly want a chance at making a super bowl THIS year and realize the window for the vets is ALMOST closed, then they can find a way to get Peterson.
If the goal is to get to win a super bowl a few years from now, then by all means keep doing what you're doing.

Archer also said that we were never going to go after Hardy,he doesnt know anything either.

Funny thing is I heard John Clayton on the radio yesterday say that Minny is most likely gonna end up getting a 4th or 5th.

There is only one thing that makes me believe we would go for a deal to get AP

That's Tony Romo.

Jerrah would do whatever to bring a championship before Romo is done.

AP is an immediate increase in that quest.

I'm I'm not sure the future success of the team is the ultimate goal.

Winning championships is.

It took years for this team to return to even division winning status.

And there are no guarantees we win one this year with Murray being gone.

I think with Romo, Witten the large turnover in personnel we have had..

I'd pullout all the stops and get AP and we worry about what happens later.

Yes it was a pipe dream for so many here. Your disagreement is noted, but inaccurate.

It's not worth arguing about what constitutes a pipe dream, so we'll just add it to the list of things you've been wrong about and leave it at that. It is, after all, a low probability event, and it always has been.

But I think most have always understood that, too.

Thats the first i've heard of that happening.

I think he means that they can do it if needed. If Dez signs a contract or they do something with Carr's contract, then they won't need to restructure Romo.

It's not a big deal because it's just Romo's 2015 base salary that get converted to a bonus. He's going to be paid that money either way.

On The Break (Thursday) Nick Eatman and Steve Dennis both said they'd bet on Peterson becoming a Cowboy. They seemed to think that something has been brewing for some time. Dennis mentioned that AP's father was on the radio and he sounded like he was confident AP would end up here. Eatman and Dennis kept saying how much AP wants to be a Cowboy. They seemed to have inside info. Of course Dennis said that Murray wasn't going anywhere so take it for what it's worth.
That should have a thread of its owN. If they're that confident.

This would be like the Herschel Walker trade in reverse. I know that's been said before but the reality of it is so apparent now - the Vikings want a lot in a trade. How did that work out for these teams last time? Ie. we would be major fools to entertain this trade.

They will restructure Tony Romo's contract just to account for Hardy's roster bonuses, draft picks, injury settlements, practice squad players and the in-season signings.

Wait what???????????????

Have I been sleeping for the last week and missed something?

If he is willing to renegotiate his deal then I believe there is real interest. I wouldn't be in favor of giving up a first or paying top dollar for a RB.

I dont have a problem giving up a 4th rd pick but AD has to take a paycut ,we are not paying him that salary.

They are going to need like 15m in cap space for the rest of the season without adding anyone but draft picks

They can get it a number of ways, but re-doing Romo is the easiest and smartest. His salary is already guaranteed so who cares?

I sometimes wonder why you post here. It appears this is about the sum total of your commentary. A big bag of nothing.
