its not going to be 6 games - and I doubt it will even be 4. doty will ***** slap the NFL once again if it goes that far and they know it. so I am betting it will be 2.

They should only fine him the 10 game checks from last year if they insist on 10 games. He missed 17 games last year and that and the fine should be enough. An NFL player's career is short enough as it is. Why make him miss 27 games when he was the one who called 911 first and was not found guilty in a jury trial?

The NFL can deny a neutral arbitrator and then the commissioner will here the appeal. Of course if that happens Hardy will lose.

I think in that case the players union will file a lawsuit.

I'm thinking two also based on the most recent court case, but they'll "settle" at four.

I don't even know how they can get a single game.

You know domestic violence wasn't even used 1 time in the police report?

But "personal conduct" is broader. Ray Rice got suspended two games based on the league's personal conduct code, correct?

It was pretty obvious that this was all done to clean up Roger the Rube's mess with the Ray Rice situation.

This way they could say 'Hey, WE had him suspended for 10 games, but the PLAYER'S UNION were the ones that got it dropped to 4 games.'

I believe he should be suspended for a season, but the politicking and PR game that the league has to play for this clown of a commissioner still bothers me.

He who? Hardy? Goodell? Rice?

When will they determine if Hardy is actually guilty, and what he is actually guilty of?

Or has this already been determined?

Hardy (I also believed that Rice should have been suspended for the season).

But, the NFL doesn't have the right to do that since *they* signed a CBA stating otherwise.

Because Roger the Rube botched the Rice situation, he's now trying to make up for it and put the blame on the player's union when this gets turned into a 4-game suspension (which it will).

Where the league is screwing up is they are giving punishment to innocent people in the court of law.

If the court finds them guilty then have at it but the NFL has no business handing down punishments to players with no charges.

I'm curious if this leaves the NFL open to a counter suit on the suspension from Hardy.

Remember the NFL offices are still trying to find the evidence on deflate gate.
Or is that destroy????

Wait they had hands on proof it was done and yet still investigating with no conclusion. But Hardy a dismissed criminal charge with no testimony from the victim and we are to expect their investigations are on the up and up....

NFL is using the personal conduct policy as the reason for suspension. However he was charged with assaulting a female and making threats. The problem it's being treated and discussed as a domestic dispute when in fact it more like a fight. One in which an uninvited guest was witnessed striking the accused. That particular piece continues to be shoved to the side.

But they have a specific Domestic Violence policy. They can't go back and use the more general Personal Conduct Code. Even under that policy it is being misused, calling one fight 4 different instances.

If someone abuses drugs they have to be punished under the league's drug policy, either PEDs or substance abuse. They can't punish them under the Personal Conduct Policy.

The NFL is overcharging on purpose and letting the courts do all the dirty work. The courts may get tired of these blatant abuses and slap the league down harshly. Either way people get stuck having to defend a "wife beater" to protect the rest of the players from a power hungry commish.

They were clearly in a relationship. It is DV, not Personal Conduct. Any first year lawyer can see thru that ruse.

You Can be in a relationship without there being a domestic component. By NC law for it to be DV, persons have to live with or had live with the accused. There's no mention of that. Hopefully a first year student would understand that.

Fair enough.

Thanks for the explanation.
